Piano class today. Working on a simple classical nocturne which for me is very difficult, and trying to learn Wichita Lineman, which has cool chords. Bicycled yesterday on a rail-trail; nice scenery, though it was a bit chilly (45º) for riding. Still looking at the house in upper Maine that I saw online, working the math. Trying to see if I could pay off my mortgage and afford to keep both places; would be a nice vacation spot for DKs and their small families, and for me in the off-seasons. Next step would to be visit the place and see if I actually like it or not. An old farmhouse that's been reasonably modernized in a small village at the edge of the boondocks, on a knoll overlooking a river and into Canada.
Sam, hope DW heals up quickly without incident, poor woman.

Mornin' gents.
I vote YES to house in Maine, Mike. I sure hope you can swing it.
Joanne, it seems, is made of stronger stuff. Prayers continue. Life is sometimes really hard.
Snakes. I don't mind them, but I prefer the poisonous ones stay away. Its spiders and scorpions that really give me the heebie-jeebies.
Dog training today. House looks good. Cleaner here yesterday and everything is "Spic N Span".
Onward and downward ;-)

Good morning!
I too vote for the house in Maine.
I took Connie for a CT scan yesterday. She has not talked with the doctor yet, but she peeked at the lab results online. She has two small polyps in the lower lobes of her lungs, and another small something that I cannot pronounce. The hospital technician recommends another deeper exam. Connie is somewhat freaked out, as am I. It could be nothing, but maybe not. One of the things they found is like what her mother had. Connie's mother had bad cancer and a bad heart at the end of her life. Connie is too young to be falling apart like this with the diabetes, CKD, and now this, whatever it is. I hope that she can talk with the doctor quickly and figure out what is going on.
Prayers continue for Joanne.
We might get actual sunshine today! It has been cloudy and gloomy for the last six days.
Have a great day!

Good morning, Gentlemen.
Glad Joanne has turned that corner and pray the treatments produce the desired outcome.
Rita has had a number of tests over the years, that showed spots in her lungs. They have all led to further tests and anxiety - and they have all turned out to be nothing. Try not to worry too much until you really have something to worry about.
I'd love a second house in the mountains as a retreat for us and our family. The house in Maine sounds great.

Good Morning
I am surprised the technician said anything and probably shouldn't have since it only stokes concerns possibly over nothing. That sort of news is best handled by Drs not techs.
If anyone seems right for Maine, its you Mike. As beautiful as it is up there, it is too darn cold for me. However, I found Long Island and Philadelphia, too darn cold. Making a pot roast today after reading a few recipes. I don't usually like pot roast, but need to make one every 5 years or so to remind myself. New recipe from the NY Times to try and I am bored with cooking so…. All that talk about the American Museum of Natural History brings back so many memories. It was a favorite field trip for school for most of us and a great family day in the city at other times. It was a world of wonder for a kid. I still like these kind of museums.

Oh Mike I luv me some of the Rails to Trails bike routes!
Oh Steve prayers indeed for Connie. Always hard to know about lab results. I always read mine ahead of Dr comments but usually can figure them out. I too am surprised the hospital Tech talked about a deeper exam whatever that may be. I agree with Dave that often it doesn't mean a thing and to try to be as calm as reasonable about it.
Prayers indeed for Joanne . My DD found Miaderm for radiation burns to help her in her treatment.
Indeed the Museum of Natural History in New York, the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, and many others including our small but mighty one are great for KIDS of ALL AGES including me. We should never lose that sense of wonder and curiosity.
Maine sounds great to me too although perhaps a bit cold in my older age.
Cheers all.

I've had 2 homes before, too much work and cost, insurance, taxes, utilities plus maintenance.
Steve, I have had techs tell me stuff that turned out to be nothing, and doctors discounted as not important; wait till doctor reviews.
Spent most of day in Athens, DW had appointment with occupational therapist; then spent some time walking around Costco waiting for appointment with pulmonologist. Per therapist and doctor she is doing good. Where breast removed still not healed, two weeks till next check.
Pablo went to doggie daycare today and does not even get up to see what we are doing.
New hearing aids came in, first available appointment is Monday afternoon.
