Congrats on your health journey! Hello Jayla my name is Tiffany and I am currently 265 I was weighing 243 around March of this year. I got married in June and the wedding didn’t go to plan. Ever since I have been stress and depressed eating and gained my weight back. I am ready to get back on track with good food choices and exercising for a better lifestyle. So yes having an accountability partner would be great.

Hello Jayla, I’m Carol
Hello Tiffany
I too have 50+ lbs to lose. I’m 65 in December and want to be healthier. Currently I’m weighing 193 lbs
I’ve started to walk at the gym and am beginning to use weight to build muscle as I’ve never, ever been fit and at my age I’m beginning to feel the repercussions. So I too am looking for support and people to share my accountability with0 -
hi, Carol.
Sadly, both these users made these posts and never came back to the app.
I’m going to challenge you.
Are you going to state “I need this, I need to do that” and quit the same day?
Or are you going to study, use the app wisely, apply some patience, and be successful?
I started here at 56. This week is my seven year anniversary here. I simply began exercising, counting calories, actually paying attention to what I ate, and lost the weight.
Simple is the key word.
Weight loss is as hard- or as easy- as you choose to make it. Hammer away? Starve yourself, and yeah, it’ll be pretty difficult.
Treat your calories like the family budget, apply some of your smarts as to how to get the most out of that budget without mopping the floor to exhaustion with yourself, and it’ll be surprisingly easy.
I’ve been in maintenance about five years now. My food diary is open, but I do tend to bounce around. Big deficit days followed by a happy pigout, like yesterday. I’ll go to training in a bit raring to go, thanks to all the food yesterday.
This is what works for me. It’s going to be different for each and every person who uses this app. Tracking carefully and studying your numbers will give you insights into your eating habits, how to reel them in, what foods satiate you the most, what foods give you energy.
Also suggest you join the 60 and up thread on this same board. Lots of older users, lots of “older” insight into loss and maintenance.
Much success to you!
…and for the record, corn dogs are not typically on the menu here, but I had a coupon for a free family size entree and my husband insisted on the corn dogs, since it was the most expensive (and in his mind “best” use) of the items we had to pick from. I also got a new air fryer and threw them into that.Corn dog: 180 calories apiece. Actually not bad at all for a couple!
