Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 314
Nov 7 - 16, 202564 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW: 131.6
11/7 – 130.2 Did not expect a down as I did not track well yesterday. Did do the 6.5 mile walk, my first walk in months. Definitely feeling some pain, but that happens with jumping in fast.
11/8 – 131.0 Tracking not happening, but I again got in a walk, 4.5 miles. If I can re-establish exercise this round, that would be wonderful.

Yesterday went the way it should. Yoga and floor exercise to start the day. Then, a long road trip with DW for a Dr. appointment which included lunch out. The food was so good and ample. JGMTD Rnd 314 #84
F 67, 5’6”, married, retired. Embracing a “growing younger” positive mindset - to be fully present to enjoy each day of this #HSF (healthy, strong, fit) journey. I fully commit to a daily renewal of #MindBodySoul. HW 172lbs in 2010. Optimum weight of 127 to 129lbs in 2015. Roller Coaster 🎢 ride with max of 145lbs every three years since 2015.
Round#314 is my JGMTD 84th round. I joined JGMTD in Aug 2023 @ 145lbs & reached my confident weight of 128lbs in Dec 2023.
I am a #foodaholic. I am on a lifetime health journey. Why? I want to keep up with my DH & fully enjoy activities with my grandchildren for as long as breathe!
R318: I’m ready for an uninterrupted round of progress, persistence, consistency & focus. AND LETS WORK IN SOME FUN! BHAG 128-130lbs. I was “there” for several months at this time last year and several months the year before. I shall do it again & remain. #HSF #MindBodySoul
I pursue a clean, whole food WOE tracking macros and calories. 11/7 Ready to start this round! I remember R300 was one of my most successful rounds because I dedicated it to all the JGMTD long-term participants. I honestly want to dedicate this to @skyleen75 because she has been such an inspiration … And of course, I seem to do much better when I put someone else before me. 😜 LETS GO!
oh, and I laughed so hard last night with my friends - I’m on my way to chalking up some good fun. ✅ I’m adding this checkmark ✅ to track fun / joy to my day because I need to make sure each day is filled to the brim!11/8 I am not any less committed this morning than I was at 6:15 PM last night. I had a perfect day until meeting family for dinner to celebrate my sister‘s birthday… Perfect nutrition (🏆) 🏋️♂️👣📖. I was planned and prepared… Until, one alcoholic beverage (oh just one), and a “small” taste of the best pasta my mouth has tasted in years… Oh what FAKE delight! That was it! It was over from that singular moment. At least I stuck to only one alcoholic beverage, but I ate the entire plate of pasta then, THEN…. enjoyed a small piece of cheesecake. I’m not upset this morning… I’m even more committed as it proves that my self-discipline can disappear at any moment. POOF! GONE! I will consciously avoid ANY temptation for the remainder of #318 & #319. I know that moderation is key, but I’ve been on this journey long enough to know that I’ve been giving too much lip service and choosing to not buckle down and stay firm to my ultimate BHAG (decision). It starts with getting a grip on my thought patterns. ONWARD!

I resisted the candy we still have hanging around, but did get a bit nibbly with crackers and nuts and such. Not too bad, but more than needed. They both had a good night sleep last night, so I'm hoping today will be better.

Was mindful of my choices and quantities, just had a couple chips with queso, a skinny margarita, and then portioned off a much smaller serving of steak fajitas, rice, and beans without the tortillas. I probably can get 3 more serving of the fajitas as leftovers! Happy to have safely navigated one of my favorite places without resorting back to old habits of overindulging!

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track. So hello everyone. I’m 67 🤪and lost 40 lbs during Covid and became vegan as well and also gave up alcohol, so I guess I could say Covid provided gave me a kickstart to look after my health. I’ve kept the weight off, up and down a few either way. I’d love to lose the last 20 lbs I never did.

Phyllis DillerGoals for this round are:
- Eat with purpose.
- Drink 50oz of water daily
- Get my step count to 6k daily.
11/07 - 191.8/5,289/125 - I didn't expect a drop this morning with all the chips and chocolate that I ate last night. I did get the shed reorganized and ready for winter and, found my Christmas decorations for the front lawn.
11/08 - 192.6/4,640/4 - I got the uptick I expected yesterday this morning. Hopefully tomorrow I will be back down. I get to go out and shovel this morning so that the front walk doesn’t get icy. I enjoyed watching the snow all day yesterday. Today I will be going out first to shovel then for a walk around the bock in the cold fresh air.

I am not having a wild weekend this weekend and I am GOING 👏🏻 TO 👏🏻 STAY 👏🏻 ON 👏🏻 TRACK, darn it. Today I’m going to lift weights and do chores for the morning. I have a quick meeting with my boss to get my login credentials for my new work laptop. Still feeling mixed about this choice but here we go.
11/8 - 129.2 🏃🏻♀️🚫📝 Well I did most of the things that should lead to success yesterday except for one: I ate too much sensible food. I had zero sugary snacks or drinks, but I did have a high calories smoothie. I made sausage and apple stuffed butternut squash for dinner but found out one too late that one serving is 980 calories 😳 Also I was likely dehydrated from Thursday’s beer yesterday morning. We’re going out with another couple and booking a babysitter tonight so I don’t have great expectations for the next couple of days. I think the damage should be way less than Halloweekend was, though. Onward!

Apparently a lot of us have “getorganizeditis,” judging by @Skyleen75 and @_JeffreyD_ and @majork29 and no doubt more people I’ve missed. Is it the weather? 🤣 I too often get distracted from the real task by “necessary” pre-tasks. This is actually a common topic among writers and other creative people—can’t start until the towels are refolded and stacked by color and the spice cabinet is alphabetized. But—and I was going to report this before I read this thread!—yesterday I did a thing. I had two bins of “skinny clothes” in my closet—clothes that fit me when I was 50 pounds smaller. And of course they taunted me every time I opened the doors. So I went through them one by one and decided there was nothing there that held much interest anymore. They’re boxed and in the car for delivery to a resale shop—today, before I change my mind. Someone may as well wear them before they go too much farther out of fashion. Today I’m getting winter duds out of storage and packing up summer clothes to store, and I’m going to go through those, too, before I pack them away. I have way too many “I can wear it in the garden” clothes that I should rip into rags! Anyway, this is the sort of job that I hate to start, but am happy to have done, and I always feel lighter afterward. I need to do this with my yarn stash, and give a few I’ll never use to someone who will. What does that have to do with losing weight? Quite a lot, I think, for me. I seem to resist junk food and snacks better when my space is tidied up.11/08 — 197.7

@SheilaBoneham Just like you and the others, I also have getorganizeditis. To say it's distracting to main goals is an understatement!
@khahn72856 Welcome to the challenge. Wouldn't it be nice if everyday were perfect? Ah, but it's not for any of us. You'll get there!
@Jane022896 I am so impressed on how you handled the mexican restaurant! If I were able to do that, at this point, I would probably have already reached my goal as I've been at this for a few years! @quiltingjaine mentioned recently that she eats out at restaurants A LOT, and it's true! But she has also mastered self-control and proper ordering. I get so excited around restaurant foods as I'm from a very small town that has NONE of the offerings I see when I travel to the city. But the advantage is that I don't eat out around my own home town very often as it's been so repetitive after 28 years I can't stand most of the food anymore. The disadvantage is my complete lack of control during my frequent travels. It's something I continue to work on. Great job to you on skipping the bread, parting out the meal and taking some home. Oh, and to avoid eating half the chips basket too! Yay you!
@Seniorliving I'm so sorry for the loss of your Step-Father. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time.

ENDING WEIGHT LAST ROUND 185.0
11/07-183.6 ✅ (Trend Weight – 184.0) Good luck to everyone this round! It’s Time for a really good round for us all. I must say, though, that every time I even get CLOSE to the number 179.9 or even 180.0 I grab my “stuff” and run the other way. It’s like 180.0 is the Great Wall Of China, so long that I just can’t get around it and something I could never scale either! It’s like it is a trigger for me! Yesterday we celebrated Foodie DD’s 31st birthday with restaurant, cake and ice cream. Ugg. Planning a good day today though (in spite of her). However, I woke up to this article which has me feeling so very disheartened. That Great Wall just got longer, taller and even thicker. It’s going to be tough getting on that exercise bike if it doesn’t help me or make me more fit!
🦃🦃🦃🦃 11/08-182.2 ✅ (Trend Weight: 183.8) Another rung in the Corporate Ladder of Weight Loss. It’s always nice to see progress and effort paying off. It was a not perfect but overall a good day yesterday, even with my DD here. All my meals were home-cooked, eaten at home and whole unprocessed foods and that’s always a plus.

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track.

I pursue a clean, whole food, WOE tracking macros and calories. 🏆 I pursue aging younger through an assortment of activities: 🎾 , strength-training 🏋️♀️, structured weighted -vest, walk🚶♀️, 8-10k steps/day👣, mobility, flexibility, movement🤸🏼 & plyo⏱️#MindBodySoul 📖 I’ve named my journey, “Healthy, Strong, Fit” (#HSF)

✅ I’m adding this checkmark ✅ to track laughter and joy to my day because I need to make sure each day is filled to the brim!11/8 I am not any less committed this morning than I was at 6:15 PM last night. At least I stuck to only one alcoholic beverage, but I ate the entire plate of pasta then, THEN…. enjoyed a very small piece of cheesecake. I’m not upset this morning… I’m even more committed as it proves that my self-discipline can disappear at any moment. POOF! GONE! I will consciously avoid any temptation for the remainder of #318 & #319. I know that moderation is key, but I’ve been on this journey long enough to know that I’ve been giving too much lip service and choosing to not buckle down and staying firm to my ultimate BHAG (decision). It starts with getting a grip on my thought patterns. ONWARD!
11/9 Stayed on nutrition plan… and, will be active today. I managed to have a little fun yesterday, but TBH, most of the day I was a supreme sourpuss. Focusing on attitude adjustments, gratefulness & positivity. 🙏
