@evivahealth Welcome back! Hopefully each and every one of us are heading towards achieving goals and then maintenance. I can't wait to see how to navigate maintenance and hope you'll stick around during it as I, and perhaps others, could use a mentor when we get there! It's great having you here!

Thank you! It's good to be here :) My first time here was Round 5 back in 2017 (I can't quite believe it) and every time I come back to MFP I come back to this group! Thank you to everyone for the accountability and the motivation!

We can navigate maintenance together because I haven't seemed to master it yet haha

    11/7: 175 😊

11/8: 173.9 🫢📉Unexpected loss. I was sooo hungry last night ALL evening! I didn’t have protein in my dinner, so go figure. So I munched on grapes, etc…healthy stuff. I had to help my mom a lot, so I got no exercise. I was expecting to weigh heavier. 🤷‍♀️Go figure! Today I’m hoping to get a bunch of stuff done and maybe some exercise. 🤞

11/9: 173.0 🤯📉Amazing! Again, unexpected! I did exercise an hour yesterday. We had an early dinner. 🤷‍♀️

11/10: 172.4 😊📉Exciting after such a painfully slow loss the past two months. I am learning patience—a hard lesson in weight loss. Today is lesson day, so busy, busy, busy. We always clean the house before my first lesson, so I’ll have some activity there.

Forgot to say yesterday that I made a new dish! I’m getting ready to learn some vegetarian dishes for my DC#1 and their GF come for a visit at Christmas. I made Vegetarian Butternut Squash Chili with Avocado. We weren’t confident that we would like it or even feel full (with no meat), but it was truly good and filling! Tonight we had it again. The only problem was that I mixed the spice bottles up and put too much Chipotle Chili Pepper in. Wow! Very hot. After reading what to do to calm down the hot spiciness of the dish, we suffered and split a cupcake. Apparently sugar helps. 🤣 I did add more other ingredients, as well fat free plain yogurt and tortilla chips as toppings. All of that helped…especially the cupcake…and the Tums!

    🎷 67 yrs young F, 5ft 4 Round 314 (my 244th).

    Goals for every round;

    • First and foremost, no feeding frenzies – I am not a shark or even a piranha!
    • to weigh less at the end of the round than the start
    • be happy because I feel that I have made the round count at the end
    • to have a totally 10-day binge free round.
    • Would like to lose a pound round.

I need to remain consistent - it does work! Good luck for success everyone.

    image-69595985b27df-8319.png

Achieved goal weigh of 125lb in summer 2016 by losing 66lb and then gradually gained between 7 and 11 since then & didn't want to gain any more, it’s taken me 75 rounds to achieve target of 130 = back to maintenance!! But then I crept up again, so need to get back to around 135. A healthy lifestyle must be a permanent way of life.

Updated 20.08.24 – I met up with youngest DB, first time after his DP passed away at the way too early age of 46. DB lives a long way from us, we see him very infrequently & is very introvert, so not a sharer of info 😞. However, he finally opened up to me, it seems that his DPs bad health leading to heart failure followed by kidney, liver failure & then a massive stroke, was originally caused by heavy drinking. By the time he realised he was abusing his body and went teetotal, the damage was too late to reverse. He was on the list for a heart transplant, but his other organs gave up before one became available. This has made me think about how I am abusing my body when I have binges with way too much sugar, fat & salt. I know I am a food addict. I'm going to try to think about this when I am tempted to overindulge, I need to start respecting my body more and think about whether I want to be in the best health I can be. My body has served me so well for 67 years, it deserves to be given the best chance to keep serving me well & I've been really lucky that life has not dealt me a raw health deal, so I must not jeopardize that luck.

I am the driver in my life & not the passenger, I need to drive my life to a healthy life."Health is wealth".

    11/6 140.8 (trend 141.3) – 8.34 miles walked. A 0.2 pound increase this round, onto the next!

    EW Rnd 313 140.8

    SW Rnd 314 140.2

    11/7 140.2 (trend 141.1) 8.44 miles walked.

11/8 DNW - away for the weekend in the caravan. 7.45 miles walked yesterday.

11/9 DNW - 11.45 miles walked along the canal to Kinver, took in a Christmas Craft Fayre & walked back. A lovely autumnal day for a walk.

11/10 139.6 (trend 140.7) loving this number, going to really try hard not to sabotage it THIS time! Managed to get in a 5 mile walk yesterday morning before we travelled home. Just noticed - what on earth happened to my post yesterday? Put it right in this one!! Have a good Monday & week folks.

    11/11 139.6 (trend 140.6) 9 miles walked yesterday.

    JGMTD Rnd 314 #84

F 67, 5’6”, married, retired. Embracing a “growing younger” positive mindset - to be fully present to enjoy each day of this #HSF (healthy, strong, fit) journey. I fully commit to a daily renewal of #MindBodySoul. HW 172lbs in 2010. Optimum weight of 127 to 129lbs in 2015. Roller Coaster 🎢 ride with max of 145lbs every three years since 2015.

Round#314 is my JGMTD 84th round. I joined JGMTD in Aug 2023 @ 145lbs & reached my confident weight of 128lbs in Dec 2023.

I am a #foodaholic. I am on a lifetime health journey. Why? I want to keep up with my DH & fully enjoy activities with my grandchildren for as long as breathe!

R318: I’m ready for an uninterrupted round of progress, persistence, consistency & focus. AND LETS WORK IN SOME FUN! BHAG 128-130lbs. I was “there” for several months at this time last year and several months the year before. I shall do it again & remain. #HSF #MindBodySoul

I pursue a clean, whole food, WOE tracking macros and calories. 🏆 I pursue aging younger through an assortment of activities: 🎾 , strength-training 🏋️‍♀️, structured weighted -vest, walk🚶‍♀️, 8-10k steps/day👣, mobility, flexibility, movement🤸🏼 & plyo⏱️#MindBodySoul 📖 I’ve named my journey, “Healthy, Strong, Fit” (#HSF)

11/7 Ready to start this round! I remember  R300 was one of my most successful rounds because I dedicated it to all the JGMTD long-term participants. I honestly want to dedicate this to @skyleen75 because she has been such an inspiration … And of course, I seem to do much better when I put someone else before me. 😜 LETS GO!
oh, and I laughed so hard last night with my friends - I’m on my way to chalking up some good fun. ✅ I’m adding this checkmark ✅ to track laughter and joy to my day because I need to make sure each day is filled to the brim!

11/8 I am not any less committed this morning than I was at 6:15 PM last night. I had a perfect day until meeting family for dinner to celebrate my sister‘s birthday… Perfect nutrition (🏆) 🏋️‍♂️👣📖.  I was planned and prepared… Until, one alcoholic beverage (oh just one), and a “small” taste of the best pasta my mouth has tasted in years… Oh what FAKE delight! That was it! It was over from that singular moment. At least I stuck to only one alcoholic beverage, but I ate the entire plate of pasta then, THEN…. enjoyed a very small piece of cheesecake. I’m not upset this morning… I’m even more committed as it proves that my self-discipline can disappear at any moment. POOF! GONE! I will consciously avoid any temptation for the remainder of #318 & #319. I know that moderation is key, but I’ve been on this journey long enough to know that I’ve been giving too much lip service and choosing to not buckle down and staying firm to my ultimate BHAG (decision). It starts with getting a grip on my thought patterns. ONWARD!

11/9 Stayed on nutrition plan… and, will be active today. Focusing on attitude adjustments.

11/10. Calories on target, macros off. Increase hydration today! Still not quite myself but journaling and challenging my thought patterns. Glad it’s Monday!

11/11 Zero fun yesterday. Slept most of the day and almost 10 hours last night so I guess I’m fighting something. Hydrated well. Tracked & ate @ maintenance. Not the best choices but limited portions. I do have a much more positive attitude after an unplanned “rest” day. Today? Im hopeful. We are experiencing that 🥶 spell so I doubt I’ll get much outdoor activity. Give me 🥵 HEAT over 🥶! And, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 sincerest gratitude to our veterans!

good morning, late starting this challenge but woke up inspired and eager to get back on track. So hello everyone. I’m 67 🤪and lost 40 lbs during Covid and became vegan as well and also gave up alcohol, so I guess I could say Covid provided gave me a kickstart to look after my health. I’ve kept the weight off, up and down a few either way. I’d love to lose the last 20 lbs I never did.

@evivahealth Another welcome back! I am also on that difficult, challenging “maintenance” portion of this health journey. I’ve named my journey, “Healthy, Strong, Fit, (#HSF) … the further along I travel the more I realize there’s always a new obstacle around the bend… Something more to learn and something more to integrate to become our best selves….🍀Good luck!

Just Give Me 10 Days – Round 314
    Nov 7 - 16, 2025

64 year old female, 5’5”. I am married, semi-nomadic (we live in three states, Mass, Maine, Florida).
SW WW Sept 29, 2001 - 168.8 (initially lost 29.8, became staff, then up and down 18 years with low of 126.8)
SW MFP Sept 14, 2020  – 153 (lost 40, then stress loss of 2.2 lb with low of 120.8, then stress gain)
    SW MFP Jan 1, 2023  – 146.6

    GW Maintaining between 124 – 126

    SW: 131.6

11/7 – 130.2 Did not expect a down as I did not track well yesterday. Did do the 6.5 mile walk, my first walk in months. Definitely feeling some pain, but that happens with jumping in fast.

11/8 – 131.0 Tracking not happening, but I again got in a walk, 4.5 miles. If I can re-establish exercise this round, that would be wonderful.

    11/9 – DNW

    11/10 – DNW

11/11 – 131.4 I dreamt that I got up to 138. I think that is a clue that I need to get back together. The one thing I am doing well is I am walking almost every day. Today, at little over 5.5 miles before posting here. Yesterday 5 miles, and the day before I walked with hubby so 1.75. Today will be a day of no eating out, or entertaining, or eating leftovers. I should be able to do ONE well tracked day.

    11/12 -
    11/13 -
    11/14 -
    11/15 -

@majork29 I'm so sorry about your daughter's change in plans. And also it sounds like her boyfriend may be a little controlling? That's a lot to carry as a mom 💔
