Yesterday's ladies' lunch was lovely. We sang carols, played games and thanked the Pastor's wife for her year of service. The food was so nice. The tables were decorated with wreathes and candles, Christmas tree napkins and pretties. I didn't get any photos as the room was so crowded! I stayed in my seat as much as possible be out of everyone's way. Lol! But it was nice.
Today we have our other son's family coming for a Christmas get together. We've booked a Clubhouse outdoor kitchen for the event since there will be 10 of us. Luckily the kitchen is under a deep, high shelter so we will be safe from the predicted rain unless it gets really windy! We're loading the car with food, table ware, decorations. Gifts and all the paraphernalia needed for a Christmas lunch and will barbecue the meat when everyone is there. We pre made Potato salad, roast vegetable salad, green salad and a crackers and cheese platter us candy. DIL Natalie is bringing dessert. We have prawns as an entree for those that can have them, then there is marinaded chicken, sausages and steak. I have some bubble
blowing wands for the older kids to play with Inara if it doesn't rain, but really they can do bubbles even if it does rain.
Barb, I loved seeing your Mom smiling like that. I hope she feels better being at home. I have made peanut butter fudge before but most like the milk chocolate one I make so I do that most of the time. I personally like the dark chocolate coconut one I make so try to make some of that as well. If I make it for our oldest son, I make it out of white chocolate with cherries. It's the same recipe, you just choose the chocolate you want and melt and stir it with condensed milk then add whatever flavourings you want. For the dark chocolate coconut one I use coconut condensed milk. The mixture is very forgiving!
Linda, your soup still sounds like it was a hit. Glad the family made it safely to your place after all the driving. Yes, Christmas is a hazardous time for diets! I like the sound of your breakfast though. 😋
Judith, I thought you had appointments coming up but got confused about this week. I thought you had an Oncologist's appointment. 🤔 I was wrong. It's OK, prayers continue. Do you play Wordle? Right after devotions I play that every morning! I also play a few of the other New York Times word games plus I like Waffle. I think the devotions snd games help my brain wake up for the day and start me out with the right attitude of gratitude. Lol!

This morning I was up early (for me) to go spend the morning with a friend whose partner was having a revision shoulder surgery. We had fun catching up and I brought her some unsalted cashews to eat. She has kidney disease and can not have salt so it worked out well. The surgery went well but for insurance purposes, he has to stay over night in the hospital. He will come home tomorrow morning and we will take them communion since they will not be at church. This afternoon we went to an outdoor wedding and I felt like I was frozen. I wore a nice long dress that had a jacket but it was pretty thin. If I had known it was outdoors, I would have worn my heavy winter coat but I did not for fashion sake wear it because I thought it was indoors. The wedding was beautiful with the girls wearing fake fur shawls to keep them warm. We did not stay for the reception since I have not seen much of my daughter and the grand kids today. they are watching the Parade of Lights downtown Grand Junction and will be back soon so I need to get their dinner started and maybe have hot cocoa for them to warm up too.
Judith - I am praying that your antibiotic is working well and some decisions can be made about further treatment. Do your lips feel any better? My egg casserole is like what you described as your Christmas tradition. I made it yesterday and they baked it this morning when I was gone.
Barb and Susan - I am hoping that you are having a good weekend. As I said above I need to be getting dinner for the crowd. It will be simple tacos with rice which is one of their favorites.
Love you all !

Linda so glad your family got I safe. Yes, the longer the noodles cook the mushier they can get but coming in at 10 pm I think I’d be happy with any kind of foods. Trust you are enjoying family time. Your egg dish sounds good tomorrow plus French toast and bacon I. Sure was good for today. Be blessed with Gods word tomorrow.
Susan. Letting us know how you celebrate Christmas has been so interesting nimremeber o ce being in Florida in December, seeing Christmas lights on palm trees plus snow globes with snowmen, I got a laugh at. The Floridians think 40* is so cold. It’s kind of makes me laugh.
Trust you were blessed with Gods word today. As your Sunday service is probably over a!ready. Do you have mail on Saturday’s i know Canada does not, we do and my moms care package is in the mail.Judith you got to be organized to remember all the dr appointments you have coming up. I’ll try to remember but may forget. You know we are praying for you.
I am so glad you are sleeping well that is important with healing. I use to make blueberry muffins for my kids on Christmas morning. Hoe you are blessed with God’s word too.
We got the Joy just older youth group on Thursday and will walk 2 days wothn3 hoping on Thursday’s he was walking with a PT at his community center for the 4 weeks we paid of. I’m not sure they have signed him up. Waiting for a email I guess.I may make a wreath on Tuesday plus make my cranberry salad for Joy group, and I hope to to do some more baking maybe Christmas crack, and some bread for my prayer partner. I made some bred for our elder tomorrow and Friday our SS teacher got her bread
Harry 3 did walking with us today, he walked very good, and Mariposa and I went for a little walk to see a KU Jayhawk, that is painted on a stone.

Good Evening All,
Today was a good day! I had 2 Visitirs come by. I wrapped 3 gifts and did 3 cards to give to a business owner who has blessed me and a friend, the last one was given to an assistant to my Cardiologist! I see my Oral Oncologist on Wednesday and have their gift ready for the Specialist and assistants. My Surgeon and Nurse's get their gifts and cards Thursday! Friday the 13th I see my Derma Oncologist and he gets his gift and card then. The 16th I see my Neurologist and she will get her gift and cards Thursday then. So all will receive a small gift from me and their cards. I have almost all my gifts bought for my kids and grandkids! But nothing is wrapped.
Yes with all the appointments I have one needs to be very organized!
Susan, love your Stamps. Sounds great having a Christmas get together outside. Your food sounds so tasty and delicious. I love anything coconut, my favorite! You asked if I played any of the word games’ I used to play a lot of those types of games but with our games here it keeps my brain active and thinking! I play a lot of Bible Crosswords and Bible Fill in the Blanks. Yes it does give you right thoughts and helps you be thankful and grateful.
Barb, Blueberry muffins are so tasty. My kids always enjoyed them. Glad you are keeping up with the walking with Harry3. And yes Barb I am blessed with God’s Word. Every Sunday we have Live Stream Sunday Services. I am so blessed to have our Sunday services and good solid teaching from the pulpit!Linda, I can’t imagine at this time of year having an outdoor wedding. It’s too bad they didn’t tell you the wedding was outdoor then you could have been better prepared with bringing a shawl or jacket that would have helped with keeping the chill at bay! Nice you spent time with a friend at the hospital while he had surgery. Glad he did well! Yes I thought your breakfast dish was like our family traditionn we had.
Take care all! Have a Blessed Sunday! ✝️🙏😴 Good Night! 😴
