I just ran across an awesome blog for slow cooking! I always struggle to think up stuff to put in mine. This lady has blogged all kinds of ideas!

Hopefully MFP won't zap my post since this isn't my blog and I'm not promoting my own stuff or anything. I don't even know this lady...just enjoy her recipes! lol1 -
And my chili recipe (will go up on Healthy Doesn't Mean Boring... at some point)
Chili Con Carne - Very flavorful, but not overly spicy. Add more cayenne if you like to burn your mouth.
12 oz. lean ground beef, cooked and drained
2 cups red kidney beans (dry), cooked and drained
1 lg onion, diced (or chopped)
1 med. red bell pepper, diced
2 Tbsp Garlic, minced
3-1/2 cups tomatoes, diced (equals one large can)
7-1/4 c. Tomato Sauce (equals 2 large cans)
3 Tbsp Chili powder
3 Tbsp Chili Sauce (Heinz)
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp Bay Leaf, crumbled (or 1/4 tsp powdered)
1-1/2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
Throw it all in the pot and cook on low for 8-10 hours (or your entire work day + commute. )

slow cooker apples!
5 large apples, whichever kind you prefer. I usually buy gala or some other red kind. make sure it is nice and firm
brown sugar
raisins
butter
cinnamon
walnuts or pecans
apple/or orange juice
peel apple, but leave half inch strip around entire apple (helps apple from splitting while cooking). core it and scoop out some flesh. mix together melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, and raisins. sometime I add dried pineapple and coconut flakes. spoon it into the cored apple.
pour an eighth inch amount of apple juice into bottom of crockpot (helps prevent burning) and place stuffed apples in it. cook on high for about 3 hours...occasionally spoon the liquid/nuts that fall out of apples back in and bathe the apples while they cook. I love making this during the fall especially! enjoy!

I put a turkey breast in my crockpot. I rise it off and remove the gravy packet. Add salt and pepper. NO WATER. and cook it on low while you are at work and its the best turkey ever!!
You can also put whole sweet potatoes in the crockpot. Just wash them well and cook on low while you are at work. Again no water. They are the best !!!0 -
My favorite:
1 Turkey Breast (bone in or boneless) sans gravy pack
1 can of cranberries (jelly or whole berry)
1 onion soup packet
best ever....I usually reduce the sauce to make a MOCK gravy while the breast cools.2 -
