    Gatineau, many options:

Gatineau Park, where you can hike, bike, go to the beach and many more activities for all four seasons: http://www.canadascapital.gc.ca/places-to-visit/gatineau-park

I live 15 minutes away from Parliament Hill (which you can visit), lots of museum on both sides of the river.

In the summer, there's also the Calypso water park that won many prizes since it opened 2 years ago (about 30 minutes from downtown Ottawa).

I live right in the middle of Minnesota. In the summer we obviously go to the lakes a lot and I like to go scuba diving in the mine pits that we have. In the winter there is skiing, snowmobiling, and sledding that happens. Other than that not a whole lot, we do have some fun bars on the big lakes in the summer which are a ton of fun but during the winter season they are not very busy!

North Idaho. It's an outdoor paradise here:) We have 5 ski mountains within 1 1/2 hr drive from my home, . Whitewater rafting, great flyfishing, big game hunting (elk, deer, bear, wolves mountain lions). We also have a fun Arena league football team and of course the GONZAGA BULLDOGS!!
  • I live in Albuquerque, NM. If you like deserts you will be in heaven. If you are like me and want rain, cloudy skies, beaches, and lush forests it will be hell. A hot, dry, hell. Depending on your view it's the Land of Enchantment or the Land of Entrapment.

I live in Roswell, NM and quite frankly I would love to live in a place like Albuquerque compared to Roswell... Albuquerque actually gets snow and rain and does have forests...you just have to go to one of the many mountains that are in Albuquerque to see them...lol... and while it may be hot it could always be hotter... every morning I watch the news for the weather and I wish I had the same temperatures that Albuquerque has because it is an average of at least 10-15 degrees hotter here in Roswell.

Now as for what is there to do here in Roswell... well if you are a normal person you can get in your car and drive three hours and go to either Lubbock, TX or to Albuquerque, NM when you have free time to go shopping, enjoy some nice restaurants, or have some sushi!!! Now in Roswell yes there are a few stores to shop at, but it is extremely limited...its the same for restaurants, too. There is a movie theater, but the prices are outrageous, but they can charge what they want because there is nothing else to do. I have heard that there are bars, but I don't drink and I don't "party". Now not that these people aren't normal but we get some crazies here in Roswell due to the alien thing... And there are some tourist attractions due to the whole alien thing...but I have never been to any of them because I don't have the time. I have always thought it would be cool to take a day or two and just go to the random places on Main St, may be that can happen around Christmas time when I have some time off from work.

Im in Charlotte, NC. After moving from Faith I have realized how small my hometown is and how large where I actually live is. There is a ton of stuff to do but not all of it is for me. Where I lived before was 45 mins minimum to walmart or any other store that didnt sell deer corn. :)

I live in Rochester, NY... There is some great food (mostly wings) here, clubs, bars, Beach (cough lake), different events come and go, hmmm I guess there is a bit to do here, but the locals hate it, lol. Everyone I talk to wants to leave. We usually get hit pretty bad come winter.

OOOoooo Rochester, MN huh? I never knew there was another Roc until playing a video game. It sounds cold, like my Rochester haha.
I live in Rochester MN and you can go to the MAYO CLINIC lol thats what this town is known for...

but in Minnesota you can go to the Mall of America!

Haha it is very cold like I have heard of your Rochester..mainly in the winter lol..summer is fine =) but winter can stay away lol

I live in Duluth MN...............we are a harbor town at the southwestern tip of Lake Superior. Beautiful views and vistas, lots of walking and biking trails, parks, camping area. Tons of skiing within short distances (even intown, but it's not much of a hill..............but I don't ski, so what do I know?) A vibrant music scene, theatre, dance, etc..............Duluth is a beautiful place to live, and I LOVE it here, Winter and All!

I live in Seattle Everything here sucks. There is nothing to do. Nobody should ever move here.

The Space Needle seems like it would be fun!! And what about the ferry boats!?

It is SO touristy, though. I went with an out of town guest and the elevator jockeys were literally telling people what EMP was. Sigh. <
    snob. ;)

If you aren't a commuter (and most likely if you are) you don't ever get onto the ferry. They're nice to look at. :)

This guy is crazy. Tons of great bars and restaurants, gorgeous outdoor parks (which, granted, are very wet a lot of the time), hiking, skiing, camping all day trip close... Great sports and rec stuff, amazing shopping, community art walks, museums, tons of theaters and lots of concert venues that are always having tons of varied artists. I love it here.

Ok I'm holding you responsible as the traffic gets even worse

Oh *kitten*! This place sucks. No one move here.

It's a tower. The boats take you places, they are not Carnival Cruise Lines.

Aaand I should just delete my post and second this guy. :)

I live in Portland, Oregon (OK, I actually live just outside Portland). It's even worse than Seattle. Do yourselves a favor, forget I mentioned it.

Oh noooo! Is Portlandia all a lie? I thought I should hasten there to retire!

But, but, but you have Powells!! The best bookshop ever!

I live in a small market town in the Pennines UK. Apart from the walking, both flat (along the canal) and hill walking, we have a gym,an art house cinema, a small theatre, a very good music venue, some good restaurants & cafes not to mention the pubs. Loads of independant shops and a small supermarket (where I work). Then there's the galleries and the craft/art shops.
