Wow...kind of scary that there are so many of them. Not surprised though.

I swear, I am not making this up. They tore down a McD's not far from me because it was old, in need of serious repair & was ugly. It just needed to go. In it's place? Yep, you guessed it. A brand new McDonalds.0
-
Yep, scary! They are everywhere because people demand it sadly! If you haven't watched the movie "SuperSize Me", they show a map of the number of McD on Manhattan Island..... Real scary!0

I am curious about how accurate this is.0

The western half has fewer locations because the population is not as concentrated. Those dark areas aren't very densely populated.Westren half, not soo much, Eastren Half..Yikes!!0 -

The points of light don't represent individual McDonald's. It's a map of distance to the nearest McDonald's.seems like there would be more. There was 2 on the main street I lived near0 -

the secret ingrediant is crack0 -
Actually, there are now more Subways in the world than McDonalds. Which is surprising because there use to be 3 times as many Mickie D's and the next biggest competitor. Although, subway gets away with just being an add-on to many gas stations and other areas that wouldnt normally have a food shop.0

Scary!0

Exactly. In fact it looks very similar to a satellite photo of the US at night.

I thought it was an additive in their special sauce that made you addicted to the Golden Arches?0 -
They put a chemical in it that makes you crave it fortnightly. No wait, that's KFC.0

Perhaps I'm missing why this is so scary. It's a company providing a product that folks want. They aren't lying about what they offer. It's easy enough to get the nutrition facts --they even provide them on-site, if you like. Nobody is being forced to eat there. Most folks know it isn't the healthiest option, but they choose to eat it anyway -- some more than others.Wow...kind of scary that there are so many of them. Not surprised though.0
