  • Did Day one week one today- SO sore. As above, just gonna have to keep going!
    Dont really have any weight goals asides from my main one- so hopefully a bit closer to 133 pounds, preferably 126 though :)
    Starting weight- 141.8 (i think!)
    End weight- who knows, id just like to say I did it :)

    Me too!!! I think that being realistic and exceeding your goal is way more effective than straining for a barely reachable goal and failing. While you want to challenge yourself to do the best that you can, you don't want to feel like a failure because you didn't reach your goal! I think I set my goal at 1.5 pounds per week. If I exceed that, great! But I will be fine with meeting it too.

    My *main* goal here is to complete the C25K program. While I do want to lose weight, it is a secondary goal in this challenge.

    I know exactly what you mean! I want to run comfortably! I think weight loss will come easier if we have a better outlook on exercising and do so without being afraid to do so! Does that make sense?!

    I have a knee injury that I am still dealing with so I don't want to over do it and will go with 1 pound a week with a bit extra!
  • Hi! I think I posted somewhere the other day and said hello...or on the original forum thread.

    My starting weight is 158.6 - Monday, 11/7 was my weigh in day tho I actually didn't do the first day of the C25K program until last night.

    Goals...hmmm....

    Weight goal: by the end of this I would like to be down to my goal weight of 140. I am in another challenge to be down to 144 by the New Year (25 lbs. from the start of that challenge), so since this goes a bit longer then I'm going to go out on a limb and aim for my goal weight with this one!

    And another goal, for me, would be to just keep at this running thing. I've been known to start several times. And then get off track. And am starting again now.
  • Well, I started over again yesterday, mainly because the weekend didn't go as planned, and I'd prefer my first day of the week to be on a Tuesday.

    It was kind of scary at the track, especially toward the end. I took my dog with me to the local high school. It was foggy when we arrived, and only got worse, then it got darker, and then whoever was at the school was leaving.... There were no lights on the track, and the lights in the school were turned off as well. And I couldn't see the moon this time. ooOOOOOoooo...!!

    But it was kinda cool, too...tho at the end I kept swivelling my head, in case anyone tried to sneak up behind me as I finished my cool down walk and headed to my car. My dog is definitely not a guard dog...she'd probably run away if someone was aggressive toward me. I really don't think I'd feel any safer running along the street, though...and I want to listen to music and my C25K app as I run, and the track seems the best place to do that. Plus, if I go to the track I can take my dog and let her run. I kept her on the leash part of the time, because I'd like her to learn to run/walk on a leash with me. Maybe then eventually we can go running together roadside, eh?
