Should companies offer more sick time?

Amen to that! Go the *kitten* home with your sick azz!
But to be fair, some people cannot afford to get docked. If more companies would be willing to let employees "make up" time, I think this would help. It was difficult for me to make an employee go home when she had no PTO/sick days, was a single parent, and was barely living paycheck to paycheck.
I understand your point but you have to think of the greater good here. Forcing an employee to go home or consult their physician may be a burden on the individual but it can keep other residents of cubicle world from exposure to their viruses and such. i think my dead horse has been beaten....0
