What happened?

Three weeks ago I joind @ 280#,weighed myself after 1 week lost 14lbs, week 2, 6lbs week just weighed mayself 0lbs. have stuck to my diet , haven't changed anything. was hoping for a couple of lbs what gives?

It happends... Next week you may see a few more lbs come off. I have found it all equals out in the end. You may go a couple weeks without losing then BAM you loose 5lbs. Keep up the good work!0

most of what you intitally lose is water. you didnt gain extra weight that fast and you cant lose it that fast.0

Welcome to MFP and congrats on a terrific start!
Two things: 1) You can't expect to lose 14 or even 6 lbs each week. Most people lose one or two pounds/week. It makes sense, however, that your first couple of weeks saw big losses because you probably made big changes in your diet and maybe in your activity level.
That brings us to #2) You need to open your food diary so people can see what you have been eating if you want some specific "what happened" advice. All the best to you!0 -
14 pounds in a week? Did you quit eating? I bet most of that was water weight. Seems to happen the first week. Don't worry too much about the number on the scale. Losing that fast isn't sustainable without draconian measures. I have found that slow goes the course. It's more doable to do it slow, less frustrating, and the long term prognosis is better for not regaining the weight.0

There are a lot of factors that go into what happened in your case but all in all it was a normal transition. Instead of hashing out a long response for you, this link will help to explain it all. I work in the medical field and I found this article to be quite accurate. Keep to your calorie intake but try eating a variety of foods and try changing the type of exercise you do. You will be surprised how quickly your body adapts to what you do.
