C25K long runs support needed

I just struggled with week 7 Day 1. I just can not do 25 minutes of straight run at the pace I had been doing. What is best, slow my pace, but keep running for 25 minutes or keep running pace the same, but take a walk break when I need it?

I completed C25K and am now on B210K. Slow your pace a little until you can run the 25 minutes without stopping. You're doing great! Never give up...just keep running...regardless of how fast/slow you are!0

What has been your usual pace?0

I've just completed W6D1. My understanding is that the best idea is to concentrate on learning how to be able to run for the set time and not to worry about speed.
I agree with schmidtka70 - slow it down until you are able to do the 25minutes. The speed will come later.0 -
I have sort of completed C25K however I still struggle with the long runs (I never quite managed to do the last few long runs)....I find if I have had a few days off I can go and run for 25 minutes straight ...however some days, particularly if I have been exercising the day before, I might only be able to do 15 minutes....so I then drop it back and do intervals only...I kind of figure that whatever I am doing is better than what I was doing before. I still haven't managed a full 30 minutes without stopping though....I always make my total walk/run 5km though and am just trying to get my time down gradually whether it is one big run or intervals...I do think a huge part of it is in the mind though....very hard for me to accept that I CAN do it....much more natural for me to say I CAN'T....I'm working on it though and at 52 I don't even try and keep up with those younger than me but just run my own pace.0

Congratulations on your success! I have started the C25K several times but I can never seem to get past week 5. Your post has inspired me to try it again, this time I aim to complete it! Its is a great program, I'm glad that you were able to get past that barrier and do the 25 min run. Tomorrow I'm busting out my running shoes and hopefully in a few weeks I'll be where you are0

I just saw that there is a Week 4 supplement that helps you transition to Week 5. I think I know what my problem was before and I'm going to be sure to use this so I won't be so discouraged when Week 5 rolls around. I know you already were successful at running 25 mins but there is a Week 7 supplement that helps with that transition. If you haven't seen it yet you should check it out!0
