I'm having an arthroscope on my knee next week.

Can I remain on a calorie deficit that week or would I have a faster recovery if I up my calories to maintenance?

I had the same done on my knee last Nov, will be hard as won't be able to do any exercise even walking for at least 3-4 weeks. I still cant run and thats now been 2 1/2 months.
Strengthening exercises for thigh and calf muscles will be important and get on an exercise bike asap. Nothing with impact at all

I would speak to your GP/surgeon. So many people on here think they know, but if its anything to do with surgery, its not worth the risk.

I'm not sure you've understood my question.

I'm surprised that you've said no walking for 3-4 wks though, my understanding is that I'll be walking after 4 or 5 days.
