Any ladies on here to lose the baby weight? I am the same size as I was pre baby, but I am no where where I wan to be. Carrying my son has really "softened" me a lot and added that extra jiggle we all hate so much. So I am here to lose the jiggle, and also to tone! I have about 10 lbs until I am where I want to be. Any moms out there with similar goals?

Lift weights! I lost weight after my second kid with pretty much only diet. After my third kid I've lifted heavy weights. The difference is that I'm currently 15lbs HEAVIER than when I did diet alone but I am a LOT happier with my body.

I recommend New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women. It explains a lot of the fears and issues women have with lifting.

If you don't have these fears you could also do Mark RIppatoe's Starting Strength (another book), or Strong LIfts 5x5 (which is free via the website).

I'll have to check out that group too. My "baby" is now 5 and I'm still VERY soft, haha.

    Hi, We share similar goals.
I have to lose 10 pounds to lose get to my pre-pregnancy weight. My ultimate goal weight is to lose another 10 punds after that.

However, I want to tone too and Jillian Micheal's 30 DS works great!. Add me if you like and we can support each other.

I do SOME weight lifting. Like for my legs, glutes, arms. But I need some exercises for my back and chest, etc. I need a workout schedule! I would really like getting into more weightlifting. It does way more for me than cardio. It tightens SO much faster!

eh, I've TRIED the 30DS and I lose interest. :/. I'm doing SOME turbo jam right now, plan on moving to turbo fire in the near future. Elliptical training, and also mild weight lifting.

If you do the big lifts (squats, deadlifts, chest press) you'll hit your legs, back, chest, and arms all at once. Strong Lifts, which is what I"m starting next week is only 3 moves a workout. But a gym is pretty much required as you'll need the big olympic bars.

I do the big lifts, but strong lifts sound extreme! lol

Ha, I'm a little more than "soft" from having my son. I went from a size 2 to a size 17. Gained a total of 90 lbs- now I'm down 26ish lbs, and have about 60 to go. :[

I'm also currently a single (unemployed) stay at home mom. I was a stay at home mom when I decided to leave my husband. It's been a not so fun few months, but my son will be 1 in 4 months and I'd love to look and feel good again.
