Hi all...

Due to going AWOL for last half of february I am a bit behind with all the chat... Are we continuing with challenge through March?

Do I need to do anything with spreadsheet to update details?

Someone fill me in .

    I haven't seen any chatter about March yet - but I've got some Twilight goodies I'm willing to donate to anyone who makes their month's goal in March (and doesn't mind giving me their address)!

    Super Power - Super Self Control (like Vampire Bella skipping the newborn phase) - basically, I want to work on making sure that I control food and food doesn't control me

    Cardio - I'm getting better at this. Need to go back to trying to exercise daily.

    S45 - Ummm what constitutes a serving? 5 servings is a lot! Definitely need to work on this.

    New Exercise - I need to add strength training for sure. Ick!

    Positive Thinking - I can do this! I can do this! I can do this! (How's that?)

    Fitness Fallacies - Can't wait to hear these!


    Now it's time to kick weight loss butt!!

    of course, just looking at the new picture I've added to my ticker, it creates some very positive thoughts :P

    Super Power: Speed! I will run faster, longer, and harder than I ever have. (those mountain lions will not get away from me this time!)
    Cardio: Looking forward to this with my new gym membership :) This will be the first full month I'll have had it!
    S45: This will be hard for me. I barely got in 1 serving of fruit during the last challenge! LOL
    NE: Another one I'm excited about :)
    PT: This goes along with my Power of Speed. You better believe I'll be chanting positive thoughts the last 30 seconds of every minute I'm running! haha

    Super Power Reading Talents and Strengths of Others (Eleazar) -- checking out what works, and when to leave the Volturi behind.

    Cardio - 1 point per minute -- so I can keep up with the vampires.

    S45 - Strive for 5--the last two months have really helped me put more in, but trying new is hard.

    NE - New Exercise 5 points each new--going to start with side planks (ssscaary).

    PT positive thinking. Hmmmm, gotta get inspiration from the saga.

    FF fitness fallacies-- yeah, those are always good for a laugh.

    Thanks Mindy. We had some great suggestions that all came together. We sure have very creative Twilighty folks here! :bigsmile:

    I would think that if you added one new exercise for a week in a row, that would count, or if you did one new move each day you exercise, that would count too.

    Another thought I had today was with regard to strive for five. , I think even if one was more of a sampling than a serving, you could count it. I think the key is to encourage having fruits and veggies, and we may have to revert to the kids in us, where we have to try just one bite.

    Hope I am not making it too easy or too hard. Thanks for asking for clarification! (You know we have to make up rules as we go along). :wink:

    Great question. On the S45 I was thinking we would get the 5 points if we reached the 5 total per day, an 'all or nothing' on that one.

  • I have just had to use my Super Power ( super willpower). I was collecting kids from school and they wanted a fish and chip supper....I managed to buy just for them, even though the smell was almost over powering...... I do love Fish and chips......
    I then came home and tried out a belly dancing video i found on youtube..... My co-ordination is BAD!!!!!!!!. I guess i will get the hang of it. Has anyone else tried it?

    I haven't tried belly dancing, but when I went to a Zumba class once, one of the people there was wearing the waist bell things that clinked the entire time we were in class. It made me jealous. LMAO! And good job on the willpower! I love fish and chips as well. OMG.

    I knew someone's who took up belly dance.class throu the local parks and recreation dept. she trimmed way down, she liked to sew and made her own costumes for fun. I think she had a lot of fun with it.

    I suspect I would look quite dorky if I tried it, but hey, who cares!

    I am going to dig through my DVDs, I have one with a bunch of one minute exercises that u put together any way you want, that one should be really helpful.

    Super Power
    Like Jane, my super power will be to cause pain. However, mine has a twist. I'll be causing myself some pain because I'm going to try to really push my boundaries with workouts for the next month.

    C-Cardio
    I told my husband that I wouldn't chill out with him in front of the TV unless I had worked out for the day, but then I didn't follow through on my promise to myself. I've been a little lazy. This is going to change, plus when I travel this month I plan to work out a lot at the hotel and probably outdoors too.

    S45 Strive for 5.
    I try to have as many veggies as possible in my current program, but I will add more. Probably at least celery as my healthy snack.

    NE New Exercise
    I need to work on this! We worked on our home gym this weekend. It's painted and the martial arts floor is down. Now I need to add a TV for DVD's and new moves.

    PT positive thinking
    This will be good. I've had some negative self talk lately.

    I've been fluctuating between the same 2-3 pounds since November. I don't think my advice would help you at all. LMAO!

    Sometimes I will run reports on mfp and look for trends. Did I really workout enough, did I overheat too many days, etc. then I look for ways to pull it back in line again. Sometimes the reports reflect my good behavior so I like to pull them just for reinforcement of what I have been doing right. I hope you get unstuck, sometimes it feels like one step forward and 2 steps back!

    kudos to all of you charting your progress and keeping up with this month's challenge! i'm not exactly off the bandwagon - i'm still eating decent and working my *kitten* off. but until i actually start losing some weight again, i'm just not going to the trouble of tracking all this - it really ups my frustration factor! keep kicking some *kitten* like you always do!

    Plateaus suck, hang with it Stacy, you're gonna be losing again very soon! I can tell. (my super power happens to be reading minds, so I know that you believe you can and will do it!)
