Does rambleing annoy you?

I'm afraid i'm annoying half of my friends. I post on things almost all day, random things about me. My major concern is since no one wants to comment, i feel as though my comments are annoying them. Anybody agree with me??

If you're worried, why not just post your Twitter account on your profile and tell people to go there, and save your random things for your twitter? After all, that's what that site is for.

I'm not all that interested in seeing random, non-health-related status updates on MFP either. (Major events are an exception -- graduation, immediate family member in emergency room, new baby, etc.) There's a reason I don't have a Twitter account.

I have actually removed people from my newsfeed because this, I don't need to know their every thought or movement.

I don't always comment on everything people update about. To be honest, there are a couple of my MFP friends who are like that and I do find it a bit annoying, but I just ignore their multiple posts (sorry, but it's the truth). Maybe that's what's happening to you.

Go to the forum for that sort of thing, or find some more/new friends. If your news feed isn't working for you.

I like when people ramble on my friends list. Now, there will be times when I'm like "seriously? That much?!?!" but it's all in moderation that matters. I like the fact that people can be real and upfront as sometimes, that rant is the underlying issue of their health (and why they are on MFP). By getting it out, it's a self-realization. I don't mind it. ;-)

If you think you're over sharing, whether on MFP or FB you probably are. I like the idea of getting a Twitter or making one, and if people really want to know, they can click on a different link to read more.

I usually don't comment on people's things on MFP. It's not that they're uninteresting or ramble, but I just don't.

If my friends don't like my rambling they are free to delete me. Most of the people I am friends with here sought me out FOR my rambling.

Not really, I just wanted to see what body part you'd cut off next.

I'm auctioning off the choice of body part. The proceeds go to re-attaching whatever ends up getting cut off.

I will give my honest opinion once you tell me whether you comment on other people's posts and show a genuine interest in their own goals/life happenings....

Do whatever you like!! If people don't like it, they'll leave. If they don't mind, they'll stick around. And you will still be happy!!

I removed a friend for just that reason. Sorry, but I don't care how cold you are b/c your fasting and I don't care 30 minutes later that your feeling better b/c your sipping a nice warm lemon mint tea.

But that's just me. I'm here to get healthy, for me. If someone annoys me, they're not doing me any good.

As long as it's not constant negativity or hundreds of bad jokes and random facts, most people won't mind. If they don't like your posting style, then you're not compatible, and that's okay.

So, this is a support site so if you are updating because it is diet or exercise related, that is what is for. I did 150 flights of stairs today in sets of 15 with push-ups in between each set of 5 flights. I updates my post everytime I achieved another set. It hurts real bad and that break in between I get encouragement to keep going and responsibility because I said I was going to do it, I have to stick to it.
If your friends don't wanna read or respond they don't have to. I don't respond to everyone all the time and my friends post but it doesn't annoy me. Not like thier phone is ringing. They may not be your friends if they get offended.
