Fear&discouragement trying to rear their UGLY heads in me
So, I get on the scale this morning and still not only no weight loss (it's been no scale weight loss for me since 3-15-2012...that's the last time the scale went down).
So, I was so tempted to get discouraged, fearful, disgruntled and of all nasty of nasties...GRUMBLE, COMPLAIN and the dreaded MURMURING to myself (a.k.a. blame God and shake my head in doubt and fear...thinking, I'm following what you're asking me to Lord...where's the .02, .04, .06, .08 pounds I've been losing consistently--huh)???????
Then I thought about this little song my children used to sing when they were wee little ones (not so long ago) This little song the kids used to sing was a HUGE encouragement and inspiration for me today!
Little by Little
by Ron Hamilton
When mountains tower rugged and high
Rise to the challenge look to the sky
Trust in the Lord and start out to climb
Reach for the goal one step at a time
(Chorus)
Little by little inch by inch
by the yard it’s hard by the inch what a cinch.
Never stare up the stairs, just step up the steps,
Little by little inch by inch.
Growing in Christ takes work everyday
Reading your Bible learning to pray
Build Godly Habits seek help divine,
Great things are done one step at a time.
Ya know, yesterday I had my size 14 jeans on while out and about with my family and those things are starting to swim on me, just like the size 20's did over a month ago--talk about "forgetting where I've come from--ugh. I could walk with my family forever now, when a couple of months ago...I couldn't do it--period--talk about a short memory and being ungrateful and impatient--yuck:grumble: .
WOW,talk about ungrateful...humility and patience and endurance is a HUGE part of this adventure we're on. I'm counting it all joy and will keep on keeping on in Faith, nothing "wavering" I have the total victory in this thing, and it's going to take time. That's my NSV for today. It's going to take time, not just for me...but for you too:flowerforyou:

Your body has reached a plateau. It is being stubborn. You have to make a change to see what works. Exercise more, less calories.0

Interesting. I'm Led to start a new program today (I was supposed to start it yesterday, but we went out and stayed out late last night) and I didn't get to do it. Power 90 is the new program.
Also, I'm being led to "humble myself" and EAT MORE. This is truly humbling for me, because in leaning to my own understanding and way, eating more is HARD for me to do. But starting today, i'm going to humble myself and eat more:noway: That's what I truly very Led of The Lord to do and again...for me, that's going to be truly humbling and not easy at ALL!0 -
