Why can't we put in the amount of food we are consuming - we can only use the measurements and weights that are listed - this does not make my calorie intake correct - anyone got ideas?

Create a manual new food using the measurements you have or measure using the ones already in the system.0

You realize if it's listed in cups, for example, you can put in .25 or .5 cups, right?0

If the entry is native to MFP rather than user-submitted, you can usually select a serving size of 100g. This lets you get super accurate--if a potato weighs 328g I can put in 3.28 servings of 100g.0

and how would i make a new manual food with my measurements or weight?0

instead of creating a new food with the 1/2 cup serving size when 1 cup IS available you log it as the decimal equivalent of the portion you had...
1/2 of the posted serving = 0.5
1/3 of the posted serving =0.33
1/4 of the posted serving = 0.250
