Drinking on the weekends

Does anyone think it stalls their weightloss to have a michelob ultra (or a few) on the weekends?

If it fits your macro and caloric intake goals, it shouldn't stall weight loss.

i drink on the weekends, but im an active drunk (dancing, walk to the bars, run around...) so as long as i drink light beer or vodka with soda water or alcohol not mixed with sugars and sweet mixers it hasn't hindered my weight loss... it was when i would sit around drinking beer watching sports that my weight slowly crept up :)

I drink quite a bit, 3 or more times per week, and I think it hinders my weight loss. I have decided to not drink any booze for the month of April to see if it makes a difference. wish me luck

i love booze, but it's calorific and it often makes me hungry. This is lethal.

Today is my 97th day without Alcohol. I found it made a huge difference to me to stop. If you can stay off for a month and it gives good results it is hard to go back.

I drink 1 day on the weekend rarely 2 I drink for bzzz not puke and it hasnt effected my progress. Although the day after I feel crunchy haha. Im 236lb 14% bf. I devote my time 4 days a week to exercise and follow a strict diet. But I have to break away from time to time just to be social and have some fun.

I agree- if it fits, I don't think it should affect weight loss. I am a low carber and I drink Michelob Ultra every Saturday and I have lost weight every week.

For me, its not the drink its the fact that it gives me the overwhelming compulsion to start eating crisps and peanuts and the alcohol seems to eliminate my ability to say no.

If you don't have my weakness, then as long as your overall calories are low enough then it won't do you any harm. But I guess nutritionally, its got nothing going for it. Which is a pity because I love the stuff!

I work every other weekend so I don't have this issue too bad... I drink on my weekend off. Soon I might go to being off on the weekends.. I'd better watch the booze! Usually what I do is eat 2 meals that day, and eat pretzels while I drink so that I don't go to fast food when I'm drunk! I drank all last weekend and went over 300 calories for the whole weekend! That's not bad, in my eyes!

Before I started to change my habits I would have a drink on the weekend and wine or beer with dinner 2 or 3 times during the week. Once I decided to "get healthy" I cut it out. After 3 or 4 weeks I noticed I felt deprived. It's never good to feel deprived, it makes you focus too much on that which you are missing. So now I allow myself to have a beer or wine with dinner but limit how much and only do it 1 or 2 times instead of 3. And I'll have a drink on the weekend only now and then not every weekend.

Remember the goal is not to diet, but to change your lifestyle. If your lifestyle includes drinking, then you have to learn how to drink without negatively impacting your health or weight. So do it sparingly. Add more exercise during the week, cut calories elsewhere during the week, and make sure to limit the amount on the weekends. And don't beat yourself up over it.
Maintaining a positive outlook is most important, both for loosing weight and for being happy.

Yep, I feel like that is the trick, too. I tried saving my calories for a few beers and it totally backfired on me Lol. As long as some almonds or something on hand and be mindful, I think that would be okay.
