I just ordered p90x and it will arrive next week! I am very excited to start it but I am nervous that I have over-expectations on the results I will get. Could those of you whom have done p90x please tell me what you results were?... start weight final weight, start BF% and ending BF% inches lost....that sort of thing. Especially womens results since I know men will have better results.

You will get out of the program what you put into it. If you fuel your body properly (eat enough) and push yourself during the workouts you will have great results.

I think those are the truest words spoken when it comes to work out equipment, programmes. You get out what you put in. You can have GPS heart rate monitors, cross trainers, pilates sets, but if you don't use them, they ain't worth a thing

All you really need is a pair of runners and stop watch and as many burpees as you can possibly do.

I like new equipment as it refocuses me, or changes my routine, but buying kit doesn;t make you fit.

I didn't do the nutrition plan- and that's a big part of the results. Even without the official plan and just eating better in general I lost 8 pounds and 3 inches off my belly. In contrast I've only lost another 3 in the 9 months since I ended the series. I'm on P90X2 now trying to get those kind of results again!

I have used P90x many times, classic and doubles, and also P90x 2.

I personally do not use the food plan, or P90x supplements, but always have great results IF I monitor calories consumed, and have enough protein and carbs. ( I am using protein power, and a pre and inter workout product currently, but also had great results without those, as long as calories and macros were good)

Have lost 60 lbs total, going from size 19 to size 7.

I have best results lifting heavy (for me) , low reps, pushing hard EVERYDAY. :)

I have gained a good amount of muscle, leaned out, lost bodyfat. Scale only is a poor judge of accuracy when using a program that also builds muscle, as I currently weight 15 pounds or so heavier then last time I was at this same clothing and inch measurement size - but I look leaner, tighter, and more fit overall.

Good Luck - its a fun ride!

I agree results are based on what you put into it. :)

I too have done P90X I have had good results. I started at just over 300lbs and I'm now just under 260lbs. I too did not follow the nutrition or supplements the program suggests. I too have followed a nutrition plan that was similar to what I'm doing through MFP now. I have an slight injury now that is delaying me from continuing with my next round of P90X. In this round round I'm doing a hybrid of P90X and Insanity.

I have found a couple of items that make tracking easier for me. I travel for my work frequently, so these tools help. These tools are apps that I have on my droid (company cell phone) and my personal cell phone (iPhone).

The droid app is free and amazing for tracking reps and weights of various moves. This is key to knowing what you are doing and where to pick up. It's called 90Droid. The iPhone app is ok, but not as good as the droid app.

If you have questions, I'm happy to offer help and support. Add me as a friend for support and help if you'd like.

    Best of luck to you!

    Dave
