I have now lost a total of 50 lbs. I am so excited! But I still have a ways to go. I have basically watched my food intake these past few months. I have yet to work out but I really want to. I am just so busy all of the time! I just need some motivation to keep going, to keep getting on this thing and tracking my food. A few people I know have tried the 17 day diet. I feel like I have the mindset for it now, but I'm afraid that if I start this thing, it might back fire on me. Does anyone have any suggestions on this diet? Anyone tried it? My boyfriend and I are going to the beach in June and I need to lose some more. I need to get busy!!!

I've heard of it. there was a group of people on here doing it together and they reported to each other each day on this site. try to search for the name of the diet.0

Great Job, that is excellent!!!!!!! I would not go on a fad diet continue to do what you did to lose the 50 pounds but add the exercise, walk, jog, run, weight train, zumba, or whatever type of exercise you enjoy. If you lost 50 pounds no exercise then add exercise and the weight will come off way easier then the diet alone did on the first 50. Good Luck add me if you want.0

Congratulations on your great achievement! :drinker: I recommend that you continue to track your food here on MFP. Consider it a lifestyle change instead off a diet.
I have heard that the 17 day diet is pretty restrictive, which I think sets you up for failure. :noway: Train yourself to eat healthy rather than trying this diet and then that diet.
Take it from someone who escaped the diet cycle.
Good luck :flowerforyou:0 -

I also go to the beach in June!! I am a 46 year old woman and my son, James has motivated me to begin this weight loss journey. I am tracking my food and like you, I havent began to work out either. I havent tried the 17 day diet..But it seems to me that your a woman who could do it when you decide too. Shoot, you decided to begin this weight loss journey and look at you now!! 50lbs....50 POUNDS thinner!! you can do it and you will!! go get after it girl!!0

Congratulations on reaching this goal!! I agree that making a lifestyle change as MFP supports will remain longer than the results of any one diet.0

WOW thank you everyone for the tremendous support!!! You all make me want to keep going! I've been so on the fence about that "diet" especially since I've done everything on my own and naturally. I don't want to get discouraged after everything I've accomplished! I guess I just needed for someone to tell me, "No, you don't need a diet. You're already successful". Thank you all again.0
