Bodyfat loss--calorie restriction is essential for this BUT do not expect tO lose faster than 2 pounds per week.
Interval training and heavy lifting will be your best friends to shed fat and maintain lean mass.
Lastly-aim for 1g of protein per pound of body weight to ensure adequate amino acids for protein sparing while in a deficit0 -

This exactly, could not have given better advice. The only thing I could add to this is to be very patient, it will take time.0 -
I definitely agree with the two posters above. As I move from being obest to over weight and eventually (hopefully) toned, one of my main concerns is going from man boobs to a muscled chest. The most important advice given to you by holeshotkid was the patience part. It takes time, and dedication. Over the 5 months since my adventure began, I have seen incredible changes to my chest from fat loss, but it still doesn't look like the man chest I want, not even close. So try to focus on weight loss and congratulate yourself on any positive changes you see. Eventually you'll get there and be happy.
Additionally, push ups help a lot to tone the muscles in the chest, if you can't do a regular one, do the version on your knees, this is how I started as well. GOOD LUCK!!0 -

Do you mean 1g for each pound you currently weigh is what your protein intake should be each day?0 -

That's a good goal to shoot for, but at the very least 1g/pound of lbm0 -
