Robert's Southern Fried OMAD Journey
Disclaimer: I've been working on an intermittent fasting plan since February. The second week of February consisted of a 3 day juice cleanse, with 2 days before and after eating vegetarian soups. (The cleanse really rebooted my system and eliminated some bad habits, btw). Then, I started IF and have been researching the…

Hi everyone, I started OMAD on Monday 2-5 after losing about 35 pounds during 2017. Then came the holidays and I got lazy and hit a plateau which caused me to just basically say screw it :) . I have done a lot of research on OMAD and wanted to give it a try. My current weight is 196 and my ultimate goal weight is 150. I am…

OMAD - Why do you do it exactly?
I am curious to hear from all you OMAD people out there. Why exactly do you enjoy the OMAD plan for eating? Are you simply not hungry earlier, do you think it has secret health benefits, etc? Help - new to intermittent fasting?!?
What can drink/eat during my 20:4 intermittent fasting each day? I know tap water, plain unsweetened ice tea, and coffee with no sugar or cream. What are other options? What about flavored water with zero sugar or calories like LaCroix? Water with lemon? Sugar free Mio water additive? Any foods?

Surgery Was a Success
Went in this morning to have a mid-section cyst removed. Painful little bugger. No serious issues, though. Went right home (thanks to my cousin for dropping me off) and ate a nice little OMAD meal of 1,200 calories of fruit, nuts, and a can of tuna. Now, it's three days of recovery.

When did it get easier?
I’ve only just finished day 2 but I’m already dreading tomorrow. Day 1 was easier than expected but today was much harder. I ended up getting a bad headache at around 2pm that never went away and felt nauseous and fatigued most of the day. I want to keep going but I just need to know that things will get better.

Hi all! Today marks day 6 for me at 20:4, give or take. As mentioned in my intro post, I have been doing 16:8 since June with some health benefits but not having much luck with weight loss (although I didn't gain, so I guess a good maintenance plan eventually!).
