I always take a picture of what I'm eating when I go to friends/families/restaurants. When I enter it, I either estimate ingredients and amounts, or I search for something comparable in the database. Wow sounds like my story!! I started eating vegetarian on new years and have stuck with it! Didn't use mfp though, so I didn't see any changes. I'm on a 20 day streak now and also my longest!
