If you keep good food in your fridge, you will eat good food. – Errick McAdams

I wish we could treat our bodies as the place we live from, rather than regard it as a place to be worked on, as though it were a disagreeable old kitchen in need of renovation and update. Susie Orbach

Find foods that you LOVE AND fit your calorie goals - make those staples and experiment in finding more. I found I love veggies and chicken - cooked in a little water with tons of sodium-free seasoning. I eat it most days, and when I need to keep calories low because I have indulged (or plan to indulge elsewhere in my day.…

We'll be celebrating small for sure - not sure how it will look yet. With Covid, it's so hard to plan ahead these days. I have Christmas shopping done for my daughter and my bonus daughter, we have a family photo session planned, and a virtual visit with Santa happening on Sunday as well as - beyond that everything is…

You are very astute! Yes, I passed my first goal weight of 212 (60 pounds lost) a few weeks ago. I am down 2 more from there and hanging steady. Although I did change my "weekly goal" in MFP to 1 lb/week from 1.5 lb/week and added back in minimal calories from steps, I was starting to feel exhausted from dieting, so I…

I just realized I never posted my most up to date pics - looks like this thread it staying active :) so, I will post them here. Currently at 62 pounds down.

Being stuck is frustrating for sure. If it’s been five months I might take an honest look at how consistent you’re being with tracking. Are you tracking accurately at least 80% of the time? Are you using a food measurer? Or weight/scale for your food? When I started actually weighing my food I realized how often I was on…

Oh for sure. But I try to be as consistent as I can. And when I go over my calories I just do the next day the same as normal. Start every day fresh and not in a hole.

40 year old down 60 pounds in the last 8 months, about 75 to go. Would love to connect.

Added ya'all - feel free to add me as well, I love having MFP friends. :)

😂🤣🤣. Good to know. I probably average about 10 sprays in a normal meal when I use it so I can handle the extra 4 cal. 😂

And diet soda for sure. I am not a big soda drinker ever, but now it just "costs" too much calorie wise - I'd rather have some real food.

I have swapped out "I can't belive its not butter" spray for actual butter on top of potatoes, veggies, etc. And instead of cheese or mayo, I usually reach for some non-fat plain yogurt.

My plan for Thanksgiving is to have one plate and one desert - and enjoy the heck out of them. I also plan to NOT bring home leftovers. :)

Amazing what a difference a year can make. Way to stay committed!

40 year olds unite! :) Feel free to add me as friend. Why I want to get in shape I am 40 years old and have been taking a long look at my life. I have realized that I felt tired and was being limited in activities I could do because of my weight. I LOVE traveling with my kiddo and those seats were feeling pretty squishy.…

My goal for today is to be kind to myself emotionally. The stress of covid + distance learning + this freaking election is getting to me. I don't feel like I am going to overeat - but my head and heart hurt.
-
Congrats!! See what your goal is set to - it should throw you a party or something. ;)
-
Great job! I started at 272 and am down to 216. We've got this!

Yes, life is different when you are parenting, hopefully, you will find a way to lose without losing your joy while parenting around chicken nuggets and chips. Its a different ball game for sure. Happy to be friends. ;)
-
Absolutely - creating a community that "gets it" has been sooo helpful for me! My real-life friends and family are great, but they don't really know what to say or how to support me in this journey.
-
Awww, that means so much to me! I friend requested you if you want to stay connected. :)

CW 215.8 - Doing well tracking, excited about Halloween! My eight-year-old isn't trick or treating because of COVID, but we are celebrating by eating pizza, popcorn, and candy at home while watching a movie with her neighborhood friend! In MFP world, I will be upping my calories up to maintain for the day and then tracking…

SOOOOO excited for you! Shopping for new clothes is expensive and oh so fun! I've had to get new everything - except socks. And know it will happen a few more times on the way to goal weight. I just buy everything with adjustment straps now. :)
-
Same! Yesterday was the first time a normal-sized towel covered up all my bits and wrapped enough to stay on. let's celebrate! :)
