I have FINALLY made it! I was starting to wonder if something was wrong with me. First started out staying under 50 carbs a day and nothing, so I lowered my carbs even more to be less than 20, about week or so ago and finally. I was at dark pink this morning!! Yippee!!

DeRidder, Louisiana. Been low carb about a year with a few slips here and there, but still hanging in and going strong now!

Welcome!! Been doing it a while, just don't post that much, but trying to get better with posting. I love this board and all the friendly helpful people on it. I've learned a lot just reading the post. Feel free to add me as a friend!

Chocolate of any type or anything with chocolate on it! Along with rice, pasta and bread. My cravings have really subsided to all of those and I have found alternatives to help if and when I do get a craving. I actually do have sweets, rice, pasta and bread, etc. in the pantry and cook them for the hubs or when the kids…

I've tried many different sweetners, like stevia (powder and liquid) , splenda, truvia, xylitol, pyure organic stevia, etc, and after much money later.....i keep going back to splenda. I just can't handle the bitter after taste that they all have.

Totally a NSV!

I'll have to give that a try!

I will def have to try the sweetleaf and give it a whirl! And have to tell ya the comment about 4th of July bathroom fireworks had me rolling! But I do understand where you are coming from!

I tried the powdered stevia as well and oh my lord it was just awful! I wasted money on that! I have also tried the liquid of stevia and didn't like it either. It just has a bad aftertaste to me. Then I bought a bag of Xylitol and it wasn't too great either. Therefore I keep going back to Splenda, but the scale isn't…

You can add me as a friend as well! I totally understand about the negative Nellie's out there. I would always get that from some people that do not understand the LCHF way of life. I just ignore and keep pushing on. I need to loose about 40 lbs and it's going very...very slow, but I hang in there.

That is awesome!!!! Way to go!!!

That's awesome!! Hope my weight loss catches up soon. Been 22 days under 30 carbs a day and only 4 lost.

I actually gained .2 this week. Kinda frustrated but determined to keep going.

Meg I read your post and all the comments on the discussion board...just crazy! I too have cut out the sugar, use only splenda, and do very low carbs. My cravings for "chocolate" and other sweets have tamed down. Didn't realize how carbs affected me until one day at lunch I ate Sweet potato fries and by 2 or 3 that…

The darn scale can be an enemy at times. We've all been there, when we thought "oh I did good this week" and then BAMM the scale doesn't show it. You want to just throw in the towel and say to heck with it, but don't. It will show later! One pound loss is great and not to mention you've already dropped 9! Anyway it's…

I've been back and forth and up and down...but made up my mind that this time I will finish what I've started! Keeping the diary of what I eat has really kept me on track. Best of luck to you all! We got this!

Awesome! The loss is very noticeable. I have noticed a difference watching my carb intake. I don't get hungry between meals like I use too. I don't crave all the sweet stuff like before.

Me too! Feel free to add me!

When you look at the big number it does seem scary and at times you will doubt yourself if you will ever accomplish it. So I agree to set small goals, like 10 lbs. I personally set 5 lb goals and treat myself to something for every 5 I loose. If it's just a new shirt, pedicure, purse, shoes, etc. Heck who knows, it may…
