It is close to April 1st...

I'm glad they're being realistic with serving portions: when they're packaged in pairs, no one eats just one pop tart.
-
Those macros look pretty good, too!

I appreciate the caution, but every vaccination has a small degree of adverse reaction; this is known. It would be more helpful to discern potential predispositions than stop the process altogether.

I wondered about that, too. This article says they vary slightly, but all generally will get the job done: https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2021/03/pfizer-moderna-and-johnson-johnson-vaccines-compared/618226/ By the grace of the gods, I should be getting the J&J vaccine this Friday from my VA hospital. My parents…

:o Why the *kitten* didn't I think of that? Brilliant!

I really like their birthday cake flavor, so they could make something very good. I can see, though, ways this could really go very wrong. If I see it, I'll try it once.

Does anyone here even buy Halo Top anymore? I used to buy several pints at a time, but since they switched companies, and the flavors changed/tasted different, it seems to have lost its luster to me.

That was the point: you wear a face covering to protect others; protection for yourself is negligible. Personally, I don't give a *kitten* what face protection you're wearing, as long as it covers your nose and mouth and you stay 6 ft. from me. In my experience, a lot of people can't even do that, so I'm not going to…

The Field of Flags is really something, too, to represent those who cannot attend because of the pandemic:

A little late, but happy 99th birthday to the queen--may she outlive us all! :)

You're right about that--both my husband and my father have had shingle outbreaks: my husband has to get his eyes checked by a specialist every year now. I also remember both of them stating they felt like absolute *kitten* when they were going through it. I may check with my primary doctor next time I see her to see if…

This is a no-win situation for those government agencies that are distributing the vaccine. In New York City, for example, there are reports of doses sitting in freezers and/or spoiling because the rollout has had significant delays: https://www.nytimes.com/2021/01/08/nyregion/nyc-coronavirus-vaccine-delays.html .…

Since the day my work and my daughters' schools were shut down last March, my children and I take hikes at a local park with the dog pretty much every day. We've passed by, collectively, hundreds of people, masked and unmasked, as we've walked through the woods and past pavilions. Everyone gives each other space as they…

That was great, thanks! While I was over at Coronavirus Memes, I also saw this, which so hit home: My family and I were watching a baking show made pre-pandemic last week and watched in disgust and horror as contestants blew glitter all over their cakes. With their mouths. We never would have even thought about that a year…

I remember seeing this graph in Time a few months back: the virus mutates all the time. Eventually, I'm sure we'll have a cocktail of two or three different vaccine strains in one injection, like we do for the flu shot. Also, I share because it's one of the best-designed charts overall I've ever seen. :)

Nowadays, that would be half an OMAD for me, and I would be sick from all the sugar. I would never go back to eating without abandon, but, especially around the holidays, I sometimes miss eating without consideration.
-
Nice! I'll have to look for this--I try to use freshly-whipped cream with pies.

I admit, I have a visceral reaction when I see "essential oils" and "illness" in the same sentence, just because some folks make questionable claims about the effectiveness of oils vs. approved medications. It sounds like, though, this company is promoting a high-tech equivalent of rubbing menthol jelly on your chest with…

I began donating blood regularly at the beginning of the pandemic, and there were a couple of times I was turned away for an inadequate iron count. I chose to start taking extended release iron tablets, and my "power" food is hemp protein: it's delicious sand, but it has 44% of RDA of iron for a 3T serving. I put it in…

/takes the deep breath before the plunge into "Disagree" oblivion Could you have stepped back, held your breath, and then pulled down your mask just long enough so the clerk could see your face? Or, did she want total removal for the entire transaction? I would bet money that her manager insisted she check faces to confirm…

Is it pea protein? I usually find plant protein yucky (except for hemp--that's delicious sand), but I might give it a try...

And I *highly* recommend Merino socks, as well. I've never had a blister, and it makes the experience more comfortable.

And in NJ... we're back up to 2k/day: In other news: the marijuana referandum was passed, so we've got that going for us, I guess...

Thank you for this! I work for an EAP, and I'm looking into sharing this with our employees.

I think 20 calories are always a valid price to pay for little joys.

Where do you live? Is there a house available? That sounds amazing!
-
Those are so cute! :)

Wow. So, there's a conga line of cars up and down the street? Also, anyone remember Wall-E?
