To that point, I'll mention my daily fat totals are about the same, with lower spikes, as from before I started this challenge.

I'm going to try and introduce foods back in slowly to identify any problem ingredient. Please don't let it be eggs. Or bacon. Or cream cheese. Or pepperoni. Or chicken. Actually I don't think I'd miss chicken all that much. But I miss eggs really really really. Today we are out for lunch and without a single raised…

So tonight we're going to see a movie right after work and I decided rather than try to squeeze dinner in, I shifted up my eating to 11 oz for breakfast, and 11oz for lunch. That'll do me for the day, and I'll just drink coffee tonight. If I do somehow get hungry later I have some more cooked at home I can reheat. Tomorrow…

Oh, I was teasing! Sorry about that. Didn't mean to make you feel bad. You'd think a nurse would know we kinda want our blood tests and lab work to come back with SOME sort of explanation. Not "There's nothing wrong, isn't that great? You're totally fine!" when you're totally not.

Lunch was a tri-quarterpounder and a tall Americano. I am feeling hungry today, and I can't wait for the other 13 ounces of meat at dinner time! Found 73/27 ground beef at Target. Since the grocery store only had 85/15 I picked up two pounds even though I hate to buy my meat in such small portions. :D How are our other…

I'm reminded of when the budgerigar I had in college got an eye infection and I had to put a gel in his eyes every night. OMG I miss that little bird. What a trooper. Seriously, what bird wants to let someone rub their eyes with a q-tip?? Man, now I'm sad. Thanks a LOT, baconslave! :'(

That all sounds like pretty good news! I am not sure if I could put CO in my eyes, but then it generally stays solid all year here, so that's part of my "WHA?" reaction to that. ;) Dave Asprey said somethign on his podcast last week about not being able to stay in Ketosis or his eyes get dry and itchy. Obviously if you're…

I definitely can't get away without tracking. I don't know what it is. I don't FEEL like it makes a difference in what I eat, but obviously if I'm not tracking, I can't confirm that. ;)

It has a bit more to do with the way iOS browsers interact with apps, but yes if they'd build the user blogs into the app then we wouldn't have to hunt for a way to view them!
-
Sometimes I have to log in separately for the browser view (yes even when I'm logged into the app).

Well that's sort of the point, right? Food gets out of the way of life? I also have been craving cheese. maybe it's the full moon. I need to stop fixating on what I'm going to eat when this is over. My hormones are probably kicking into gear for later this week or early next, so that could be the cravings. Less excited…

Working home today. Normally I think I'd have eaten a breakfast rather than just operating on coffee til lunch, but no trouble eating on my normal schedule today. I am very curious how I'll do once I add back in more types of foods.

I'm also drinking black coffee and water. Here's where the idea came from: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10348067/what-happens-when-you-eat-nothing-but-bacon-for-30-days-straight/p1 And here's the discussion/progress thread:…

Just realize the first couple of days might seem hard, just because you've told yourself you CAN'T have anything else. The temptation to give up was strongest in the first 18 hours for me. Then I snapped out of it.

I averaged out a couple of different TDEE calculators with what my FitBit reported based on the activity it sensed. Sounds like you're on the right path! I'm glad you didn't toss the baby out with the bathwater when you realized you already had your BPC. I also started with lunch the day I began. :)

Mindfulness is pretty simple when you have a palette limited to two food items. I don't really have anything to report. Weight is dropping thanks to the Ground Beef protocol, though I'm looking forward to adding in some variety again. I miss eggs a lot. I also feel like my extremely limited menu is somehow encouraging my…

Welcome to The Secret Society of Cow Cullers! Really interested to hear how it goes for you.

Looking back over the last week there was only one day that I'd consider "above average" for me, and every other day seemed safely below my typical. Maybe it's the protein? That's generally been well above my usual. 150g vs my usual 100g or less. Anyway, last night I had no nausea, and am hungry today. Looking forward to…
-
Okay that's what I thought. Friday I had the nausea five hours or more after eating (we went out shopping after work instead of eating dinner at the usual time), and yesterday just before bed, maybe three hours after eating. I didn't have any today.
-
Would that nausea come immediately following a meal or could it strike anytime? This week I have 85/15 patties I grabbed by mistake, so those will be more protein. I've definitely had higher fat days in the past, but I guess not so consistently.
-
I have had some nausea for the past two evenings. I am wondering if it's related to eye strain. When I get up and move around it seems to clear up. Last night it cleared up when I belched a few times. Wondering if it's related to the frozen beef somehow? I certainly don't enjoy it as much as fresh.

Here's my week one recap!

I didn't get starting photos either, and I think the biggest improvements have already happened (the loss of inflammation in my stomach). I am only trying to get from 142.8 where I started to 125 at this point, so I'm not sure the changes will be that dramatic. The biggest will probably be in my muscle definition because…

Oh man i would eat the last bits of butter clinging to the wrapper before tossing it. It's been over a year since "grease" didn't sound good.
-
But it does require cream, which has been eliminated at this point. I did add coffee to the juices and found it decadent, but so rich I regretted pouring it over my slider patties after the second or third one. I think it also made the grease congeal faster, if you can imagine. I have used cinnamon and nutmeg a couple…
-
No worries, you can be as disgusted by me as you want. I'm sure I can list off a few more things about myself that you wouldn't approve of. I'd much rather drink warm, tasty grease out of a disposable cup than lick cold congealed grease off a public-use ceramic plate in front of my coworkers. I do lick the plate at home,…

This has been the reason I've used to defend the format. Heck, if we were looking for excuses, we would have said Corned Beef is beef, and ground it up in the processor. ;) My grilled beef is generally as barely cooked as I can make it. I think you once mentioned you 'threaten' with the grill rather than cook with it? I…

For a total of 32 oz, you mean? I wish I could take a second lunch! I suppose I could eat at my desk, but egh, I hate to eat near my keyboard. I think the half pound pieces are my problem. I had 12 oz patties for lunch Mon/Tues and that worked out far more comfortably than 8 oz lunch patties. I don't like loading a pound…

I've been an average of 200 calories over my TDEE, so I'm happy to drop it down a bit. It's just annoying because my meat is already portioned in a way that makes it difficult to control. I'm going to have to buy more meat just to portion the right size to get those 22.23 ounces on the nose. ;) I've been eating 24 just…
-
Weight's been steady for me. I think because I'm pushing myself to finish my prepared amounts of meat (eating beyond hunger) rather than try to figure out how much I ate versus the precooked weight. I'm going to start just making smaller portions and go back for more if I am hungry. But I fear I'm going to end up in a…
