ganival friday pw 180.8 cw 179.5 I've been quite busy with work this fall and haven't had much chance to write updates or check-in. I'm going strong with not eating past 8pm but I could work a bit harder at my diet overall. Have a nice weekend shape shifters!

Not exactly sure what day I'm on but I spent the last 5 days on a business trip with a 3 hour time difference so of course that was hard to stick to my no snacking before bed habit. But...I actually think I did ok, especially if I maintain my original time zone in my head. When I came back home I gave myself 1 day's grace…

I just had my last snack (fingers crossed) of the evening and if all goes well today is 4 days of no eating at least 1 hour before bed. so far I've been keeping to 8pm. want to get a couple weeks of this under my belt before shifting to maybe 730pm.
-
I want to curb my nighttime snacking so as much as possible I'll try to stop eating at a certain time each night. I'll start with 1 hour before bed and slowly work backwards.

Ganival Friday Pw 177.4 Cw 180.4 That’s what a week of hotel and restaurant food will do. Went to gym today and running tomorrow so onwards but definitely not upwards please

ganival friday pw 177.4 cw 176.4 loved all the exercise, workouts, nutrition related tips, links, and posts from this week - thanks motivators for all that you do! @Pupowl what do you do with puzzles once you're done? i belong to a puzzle swap group in my area and we have fun trading or sometimes selling for half price. i…

Thanks for sharing! I've also found that limiting after dinner eating works for me in terms of weight loss so thanks for the reminder on that one!

congrats @Zaxa2021! I feel super motivated hearing success stories. I'm sure chasing after a pair of 2 year olds is a workout in itself! You may have already mentioned this in previous threads, but curious what your strategy was on the food/nutrition side?

yup this is my life in a nutshell. the only time in my life that i've sucessfully lost meaningful weight was when i stopped exercising and focussed solely on food tracking and maintaining a calorie deficit. in the back of my mind i was enjoying the results but knew i was missing a huge component of a healthy lifestyle.…

fantastic run! i love running with a group and your pace is fantastic. i did my 5km parkrun and just took it easy and had fun, then headed straight to the gym for an upper body workout. by 11am I've done my workout goals, showered and ready for an awesome saturday.

ganival friday pw 175.2 cw 177.4 thanks @bearchested for sharing your experience with weight training, weight, nutrition etc.. i'm working with a personal trainer right now thus i'm super motivated, feeling accountable etc.. but we don't discuss nutrition or food and therefore i feel i'm missing the accountability there.…

I am absolutely experiencing this and it's also driving me crazy but I'm beginning to come to terms with it. One of my goals was to lose weight but I also want to strength train for long term muscle mass, bone density etc.. I'm often in a state of soreness and my weight has steadily increased and sometimes jumps up a lot…

ganival friday pw 178.0 cw 175.2 glad to see some of my vacation hiking muscle soreness/water retention has come off. i've really tried to get back into logging my food this week and focussing on good, solid, low heart rate/intensity exercise. @frankwbrown congrats on getting thru a hot ride! i've seen videos of this event…

Thank you both for becoming our motivators! I don’t post a ton but I read everything and greatly admire those who always respond with kind and thoughtful comments!

ganival friday pw 174.4 cw 178.0 @Sbus12 I'm not super excited with my scale but I like your idea of NSV. I'm super sore from a 3 day hiking trip and this usually results in weight gain for me. I'm not normally a step counter but my NSV is that I covered 61170 steps, including an 18 km/11 mi hike on day 3. Here's a photo…

ganival friday pw 174.4 cw 174.4 wow exactly the same as last week, interesting! while the scale isn't reflecting much change for me lately i do have some nsv, primarily my resting heart rate. i've noticed my RHR is 10 beats lower than a year ago which i know means increased cardiovascular fitness. i've been really…
