I don't know if truvia tastes the same as other stevia sweeteners, but the taste was bitter to me. I noticed it less in coffee made from milk, but tea I could not stand unless I cut it with splenda as it masked the taste from truvia You may get used to it over time, or just try different ones til you find one you like.

Great job! I'm .5 from my 20lbs as well!

It would depend on ingredients you put in the ice cream you make and the brand of ice cream you buy. There's infinite comparisons.
-
That's good to know...ill have to keep that in mind in case I don't lose much in the next few weeks

I got that yonana machine for Xmas. Its usually the only way I get my fruit for the day. And its great there's gotta be over 100 recipes!
-
I actually make this exact thing from time to time. I also use bananas and other fruit. The difference is I can have nearly 2 cups of the fruit mix "ice cream" I make vs .5 cups of ice cream. I'd rather be full than get hungry in 30 minutes.

When I first rejoined mfp in January my husband was not supportive at all. He thought all I needed to do was exercise a little. He would get upset and annoyed seeing me log everything or asking him what he put in a meal he made so I could estimate calories or even if I said I couldn't eat something (because it wouldn't fit…

-Getting pregnant and developing hypothyroidism and not taking the medication religiously. -Moving out on my own -Cousin in law moving in with me and cooking Mexican food every day. -Quitting my job and becoming the most sedentary I'd ever been. in reality I wasn't paying attention to my lifestyle changes and…

SW 184 CW 164.5 (42 days) GW 130 5'2" 130 is on the high end, but that was pre pregnancy, plus I plan to focus on building muscle once I get to 140.

Interesting to hear everyone's responses. I was exercising often the two weeks prior, so I was still consistently losing, but not by a lot. Maybe I'll slow down as my body goes back to normal (although I hope not completely, my periods used to be from hell!)

5'2". SW 184 CW 165.5 GW 130 I've lost 18.5 in 5.5 weeks eating 1100-1200. I maybe eat up to 1400cal the days I do a 2-3 hours of cardio. The only time I see me raising calories is when I'm at maintenance, 1200 it is. As I lose weight my bmr will continue to lower...

I just decided a few days ago I'm going to the beach in june, so that's added pressure to stick to losing weight! I hope to lose at least 21more lbs in the next 14 weeks.

This too is a great idea! I search my favorite songs for the best routine and you can make your own workout. Sometimes they aren't filmed the best so it can be hard to follow, but its a good way to mix up the music.

I have all the Wii zumbas except for the kids. I love the original and world party. I've been using it as my source of cardio for the last month and I'm sure its helped contribute to my weight loss in addition to calorie counting. Most days I do at least an hour. Sometimes up to three. Its certainly helped my…

The last 48 hours my app hasn't worked and cannot access anything through my phone.

My husband is turning 30 this year. He told me he doesn't want to be an old dad, and I don't blame him, I'm 24 with a kid already and I don't want to be an old mom either. So were on the same page. The sooner the better. But not all guys are the same. And who knows, make be well change our minds when were older.

1300 seems fine to start out with. It is doable if you stick to the plan. I'm 5'2" started at 184 and in 39 days lost 17.5lbs eating at 1200 with exercise. (there was a big water weight drop in the first week and a half, after that it was a pretty steady 2lbs/week).

It seems the mfp consensus is most people eat back 50-75% of exercise calories (to take into account the error of over estimating calorie burns). Personally I usually eat back a portion of about 25% if I've burned at least 500 for the day. Its up to you, but if you start feeling sluggish or get headaches you may want to…

Probably the same. Although I had a fluke one time scanning Meijer brand cinnamon and it showed up as Meijer tilapia repeatedly (????). The next week the cinnamon showed up correctly.

Scale. And I've found a lot of things I've measured with spoons amounts to less than what the scale gives me (so I get to eat more). Super big plus.
-
Yes, I love cheese! I don't eat as much of it now :( It seems like a lot of things (like honey, I found that out too! ) don't measure right with spoons/cups. Grams and ounces are so much nicer to my stomach! Haha
-
That's what I found so strange when I got mine. Same thing happened today with pork... 4 oz was double what I had been eating! Definitely love my food scale now, haha.
-
Same! A few months ago my husband was saying I spent too much time on facebook (but not as much as him, haha) and a few days ago he was watching me on mfp and said he noticed how when I get interested in something I get really passionate/obsessed. Lol.

I search google for "x restaurant nutrition information" and usually something will come up for a link within their website. Usually there is something in MFP but I always double check because half the time the numbers dont match up exactly.

I'm 21. 5'2", currently 169lbs (SW 184 GW 130-) MFP gives me 1200 calories for 1.3 lbs loss a week (lowest/most loss their settings will go). I typically eat between 1100-1200. I mostly eat healthy and fresh, but I will have a little bit of ice cream or jello IF it fits in my calories. I don't go over, that will only make…

That is definitely something I would love to do once im closer to my goal weight. Having others hold me accountable is a huge positive for me! Plus, I'd have no idea where to start :P
-
Wow! Awesome, great job! Do you work with your trainer every day you're at the gym? Or are you following a routine s/he set up on other days?
-
I had to look at my cereal boxes after I read that! So sad :( At least some aren't too high in calories so you can double it. I like cereal, its just not filling enough when counting calories.
-
I've stayed away from pasta since I didn't have a good way to measure it before..at least it will be something!! I think its gonna take a while to get used to weighing things. Its kinda awkward sometimes

Thinking about it this morning, I'm thinking maybe it has to do with how hard/much I'm exercising and my calorie deficit. The last week I've been crazy...2-3 hours of intense zumba. I haven't been eating back any calories (that could add another 1000+ calorie deficit on some days). Yesterday I only did 60minutes and slept…
