  • Along with patience (because you might just be rushing it) you might not be eating enough. Your body literally might not have enough fuel to build the muscle and lose the fat. Without enough calories you are most likely not going to get anywhere. Do you eat back some of the calories you burned while working out? Not the…
  • I am not a 100% vegan however I incorporate Vegan eating 5 days out of the week. it just makes me feel better.
  • Just go for it. While it’s hard to do (and I’m still doing it, quitting that is), we’re always going to have stressors and reasons we want to smoke. We have to realize that there is no better time than the present to do so. Best of luck. I’ll be here rooting for you while I work on my quit too. :)
  • I'm here for it. Quitting cold turkey within the next few days (tomorrow is the plan, today was a failed one) but I believe that quitting smoking can definitely help me reach my fitness goals.
  • I love this by the way.....I never thought of it like that and this could be a cool way to think about it....
  • My husband supports me but he needs to lose weight too. But then again his body. I just do me and I’m like hey I’m going to the gym or this class or a run. It’s not about him...it’s about you. So do you he will either follow along or not and in the meantime get support from others here, friends, and support yourself. Like…
  • Working through DOMS for me always helps relieve some of the soreness. I’ve been sore for the past week but never repeated the same thing and incorporated yoga too
  • Find good recipes. Really I used Pinterest when I was a vegan and then a vegetarian and now I make a lot of meatless options. I now incorporate fish, chicken and eggs in my diet but finding things that taste good that are meatless is the first route to go. Especially dinners/lunches. If you don’t like the flavor it’s not…
  • Feel free to add me! Not a new mom, my son is 5. But I’m on this journey as well. 35 pounds to go for me!
  • And I bring mine to work as well....
  • I never thought to do this! Thanks for the idea. And same I just got my scale last week and I realized I was overheating on things, like one serving of almonds is not much for a lot of calories and eyeballing chicken can result in so many differences because of how thick they are. I measure everything right now. And it’s…
  • I meal prep on Sunday and it last me a week. For salads: I keep the lettuce and the toppings separate and just grab two containers. dressing as well doesn’t go on until I’m ready to eat it. Also for salads I keep the proteins that I use separate as well. For other stuff: I have those containers from Costco that are…
  • I could take swimming lessons with my 5 year old lol. But true it is cool and relaxing. I think this might be my next adventure.
  • I’m a terrible swimmer but I guess a little practice can’t hurt right?!
  • I don’t wear makeup except for mascara, and I don’t wear sunscreen because I break out in hives with it....I always shower afterwards and change. I just hate starting a workout and the second I’m warm my face is like oh hey there I’m just gonna burn your skin off lol. I’m hoping to find something to cool it or make it hurt…
  • What they all said. Plus you have a very pretty face, you look amazing. Makeup (aka kardashian contouring skills lol) can help make it appear thinner if you want, but you don’t have to. Genetics determines this. I have what I consider a large head and when I get too skinny my head looks like a lollipop top on my body, so I…
  • I’ve never run a marathon. However this year my goal is a 10 miler on March 17th, and a half The Love Run on March 31st. After that at least 2 north half’s and then a full.
  • I love C9 and I get them at target and are reasonably priced and generally can find them on sale. The high waisted ones stay up on me and are very comfortable.
  • If you already have supply issues I would work on that first. Take good notes as to supply if you are changing your diet. Water, and good foods. Reevaluate your supply. If it drops make changes and increase those two.
  • I had a cold, that I just got over, that I’ve had for 5 weeks. I thought I was getting better but it was settled in my chest at week one. I worked out twice after that, and am just getting healthy now because all I’ve done since then was yoga and walking. Take it easy, heal, and let your body do it’s magic. Then get back…
  • Live your life with Rihanna...right now that’s my jam...
  • Also you can look for a running store near you. I know that the ones that I have near me all host running groups, ones that any one of any pace can join as there are generally pacers of different speeds.
  • My question is why would you want to? I can’t do anything with a migraine honestly except for lag in a quiet room and relax and sleep if possible.
  • One week is not enough, at least 4 should show you some progress. Or the need to change things up.
  • Instead of trying to starve yourself some days, eat at a deficit every day. Why so low in the calorie range? Under 1200 is not recommended. Plus the more you restrict on certain days the more you will want to binge on other days. Keep it consistent daily. At least that’s my advice.
  • I agree. While you might not want to try to get some it’s imperative that you do. Making sure that you are healthy and showing your children what healthy is and not disordered eating is important. It might take a few professionals though to find one you like. I went to 4 different therapists before I found one that worked…
  • Oh and good luck! When is the race?
  • I just started training for a half in March. It’s my goal personally. I just found a good plan online and made it work for me. It’s cold here but I run outside on hills pretty much because of where I live as much as I can. The race is outside rain or shine so I want to train in both.
  • Great job! Keep it up!
  • Hi there! I’m at the same point as you pretty much. 5’2” and 155-158. My SO always says you’re good but he doesn’t know where is comfortable for me. My goal is 130 and then take it from there. I’ve been 115 and for me that was too small. But focus on health. Get your workouts in and eat right, definitely include a good…
