Started out late this evening so only did about 35 min. Sprints, kicks w/fins, and laps.
-
Swam ladders tonight.
-
Pretty good swim today. Mixed in back kick drills, plain 'ole laps, and 16x50 sprints.
-
I love the lemon! It could be a dessert.
-
Did 3/4 of the workout created by MsJ since I had to scoot to a soccer game.
-
About 50 minutes today. Mainly sprint intervals.
-
Got a swim in today, finally! I threw in some sprint 50's and I was taken by surprise by how much I was 'sucking wind'. 5 days off really hampered my swimming.
-
Today will be day 5 with no swim. We have been busy with kids' sports, our 25th! wedding anniversary, and husband has evening work functions. If I don't get into the pool tomorrow, I will implode!

Yes, I have 4 children home for the summer so I will need to swim after my husband is home for the evening. I don't care for evening swims as I would rather swim on an empty/semi-empty stomach. Ah well, 1st world problems!

Last am swim for the summer. Sprints and kick work.
-
A quick 40ish minute swim tonight. I need to revamp my time of day swims. The kids are out of school for the summer but I dislike evening swims.... I need to figure this out asap.

Swam for an hour doing mostly sprint intervals. I mixed it up a bit and sprinted a few with fins. I am playing around with the whole food/no food befor a swim thing for me. I have reflux with certain things and today was a no eat. I am sure it affected my effort.

Swam for an hour doing a little bit of everything.
-
I did mine yesterday. I, too used a large plastic zipper bag to keep the workout in. Did some extra fin work too. The only thing I would change would be to eliminate the scull/catch up drills and just swim a longer warm up. I usually do a longer cool down too. I averaged 1:30 for the 100s. I don't have a watch and I…

Heading out now to do my workout. Will check back in this eve.
-
Swam for a bit over an hour. Warm up, kick w/fins, sprint intervals, and a hasty cool down.
-
Nope, sick kiddo today. Tomorrow for sure as we will be eating some authentic Mexican food with a margarita chaser!
-
Good swim this morning. Swam a nice long warm up, kicks with fins, and sprint intervals. My cool down could have been longer, but I needed to get going. Swam 60 minutes.

I went tonight and every time I do a night swim I tell myself 'not again'. Torrential rains kept me from hauling my 4 yr old and me out earlier. Ah well, better than never entering the pool.
-
It does have a pace clock and I use it for my sprint intervals, I just don't swim 100y sprints. :) What % should I be doing the 100s? Thanks!
-
I, too, dragged myself in this am. I didn't feel quite right and told myself that I would just do plain 'ole laps instead of my usual. Anyway, I had a great workout that included easy laps, kick sets, and sprints. Swam an hour.

My problem lately is I have not been kicking much even with sprints. For some reason my brain "forgets" to tell my legs/feet to kick. It is really very odd as I have always been more of a sprinter, even in track. Perhaps it is because I haven't swam for years? Odd...

I would like that too. I alternate between swimming sprint intervals and ladders. I swim about 6 days/week and would like to work on speed. I like everything but fly (I am too old and didn't even care for fly when I swam on a team!). I have no idea what my 100 pace is as I don't keep track.
-
Swam for about an hour. Mostly sprint intervals mixed with kicks. I felt off with everything, technique, speed, breathing, etc. Oh well, better than not swimming at all.
-
A little over 2k between ladders and sprints.
-
Wow, I was under the impression that Masters groups accepted all types of swimmers. Your tryout seemed tough!
-
60 min sprint intervals with 100s in between each set. 200 kick set
-
Great workout today. I was the only one in the pool too! I did some sprint intervals, fin work, and easy 100's between intervals. I was breathing hard but my recovery between sprints kind of impressed me. Meaning, I was able to recover pretty decently in 5 sec. Swam 60 min or a bit more.
-
I swam for ~55 minutes. I mixed it up with an easy warm up, kick with fins, some high intensity stuff, more fins and a cool down. When I was warming up my arms were begging me to get out of the water, but they loosened up nicely. Now, if I could only figure out how to sprint faster...

I have been doing this workout from Craig Keller, except I have chlorine brain and started with 25 lengths for a while...: *Do 20 freestyle lengths (25 yards) with 5 seconds of rest in between lengths. Recover with a 100-yard swim of your choice, at an easy pace. *Do 16 25-yard swims of your choice with 10 seconds of rest,…
