Right? How do you log those?

Congrats on your quit! Tomorrow marks my 7 months smoke-free- sadly I did gain back some of my hard fought loss. I know what to do though and I'll get back to where I was and go forward.

Yes, OP, I was a child in the 60s and my diet was nearly identical to yours. I was the oldest of four, with a stay at home mom and a working dad. Cereal and milk for breakfast. PB&J or bologna sandwich on Wonder bread and a fruit for lunch. Meat (often fried), potatoes (often fried), vegetables (usually canned) and a slice…

I find lots of good choices at Subway.

Almond milk in my protein shake, decaf coffee, apple cinnamon herbal tea, diet soda and my once-a-week latte sort of drink

I use avocado most anywhere that I would use mayonnaise, including potato salad.

Maybe try different methods of cooking them? My son likes many more veggies than he used to since he started oven roasting them. Also, try some different seasonings on them. I'm fortunate that I love them all, except okra.

I do not have first-hand knowledge of Transformation Center but know two people who did the transformation center challenge. Their experiences were not good. One achieved what they believed to be the goal only to have some fine print pointed out that invalidated them getting their deposit back. The other person gave up in…

I am 56 and post-menopausal. I've lost 82 pounds so far. I wouldn't say it's been a snap but I don't think it's been any harder than it was when I was younger.

@teachingt 2 years is awesome!

Oh yeah, I'm good, my quit is strong. Thanks!

I've seen people on Quitnet mentioning how it used to be different. The way it is now is the only way I've seen it. It is helping me though. I'd still like to find a community group here on MFP for support and discussion about quitting while working on food and exercise goals.

As a rule I don't, but they're there if something yummy but unplanned comes along :wink:

I started this group a while back, for folks 50 and over with 50 or more pounds to lose. It kind of limped along and didn't really take off. I would love to see the group get active. Here is a link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/115683-50-50-journey (you may need to copy and paste it into your browser.

Hi all! I'm 56 and have lost 82 so far. About 39 to go.

Diet A&W. Oh, sorry, that wasn't the question. Coke Zero.
-
It depends. If I just felt lazy then yes, I would. I would feel better after. If I wasn't feeling well, as in ill, then no, I would take a rest day.

I am interested in mentoring one or two women in the 50+ age range. I'm Cheryl. I'm 56. I have been on MFP for about a year and a half. I've lost 82 pounds to date through sensible eating and have increased my fitness through exercise. I'm not done yet, have about 35-40 more pounds to go. The most important part of my…

Thanks! I'll check out quitnet and congrats on your 80+ days!
