You've identified the problem, now it's time to fix it! The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be where you want to be. Every day is a step closer to the new you. Best of luck to you

Keep your water intake up. Why would mince pies be bad for you? I wouldn't recommend eating 30 of them a day right enough lol

You can eat anything you want. Keep your protein levels high (there is plenty of info on the forums about amounts), enough to allow for muscle repair and growth, make sure you get adequate fats in your diet too. Don't avoid veggies, they provide you needed vitamins and minerals. If you aren't consuming enough to gain…

Sorry @holm6677 but you are wrong there. Thinking you have a fast metabolism and having a fast metabolism are two different things. Having an abnormally fast metabolism more often than not means you have an underlying medical condition that needs treatment. I myself only about 10 months ago was a 'hard gainer' and had a…

I was likened to a holocaust victim. That was the straw that broke the camels back for me. As much as it pissed me off at the time, it gave the push to turn things around.

C'mon, you know exactly what the OP means. Everyone knows what a person means when they say 'toned'. There is no need to jump on it every time the word is used :|

Dude, that's over 25 threads you've commented on saying that. Just start a thread asking people if they want to join lol

@deanna449Dk @garyggriffin I feel your pain. Deanna I've had the people looking at me like I'm nuts because I want to gain, you aren't alone. I'm drinking loads of milk too Gary, it's a great one for helping up the intake. Keep an eye on the numbers, make it a goal to hit a minimum amount of calories every day (whatever it…

Hey all 'gainers' There are many people on here looking to gain weight. Being someone that struggles with eating the amount of calories I need to gain I find drinking calories much easier. Whole milk is my saviour (370cal per pint). Pistachios are my next one for boosting calories. Nuts in general are really good,…

Hi Brian. I'm 5'11 too, a short while ago I was 9st 7lb (now 12st 1lb). Glad to see you are looking to gain  As far as maintenance calories go, you'll need to play around a bit, everyone is a bit different. Calorie calculators usually give me numbers in the range of 2300 to 2600 for maintenance, but in reality it's…

I'm curious... What is 'blowing damp air bubbles'?

I didn't go through a divorce but splitting up with my then other half was a big factor in making me get myself sorted out. I'm on the weight gain side of things too. I'm about 8 months or so (starting to lose track) into my new healthy lifestyle and I'll never look back. I had forgot what having energy felt like and I'm…

It's not always helpful to jump to the conclusion that someone may have an eating disorder and that they 'need' to seek professional help. It can hit people in the same way as calling someone 'fat' when they are overweight or calling someone 'skinny' when they are underweight. It's not uncommon for people to under eat,…

A pink Stormtrooper, love it! lol

LoL Fantastic! Get used to that feeling. That's where I found the whole milk helped. I find drinking my calories easier, you feel a bit bloated for a wee while after drinking a pint of milk but it only lasts ten minutes or so and you feel normal again. 10 minutes of heaviness = 370 calories

I know that feeling all too well! It doesn't take too long to start seeing the difference. After about 1 to 2 months after I started my mission I could see the difference in myself and others started commenting on the change. Consistency is key though, keeping at it over the long run isn't the easiest. I recently started…

Good luck gaining  I can sympathise, it's not easy eating a lot when you are used to eating very little. I get what you are going through, I did the same for years. Keep at it though, you'll get there

That was a good read. Keep doing what I'm doing.... wait for Melissa.... got it lol
