The "Oh Yeah" cookies and cream shake is really good. I don't like the other flavors, but that flavor is good. I like mixing the bariatric advantage chocolate powder and banana powder with some peanut butter powder, it tastes as good as a milkshake to me.

The unjury website has a variety box of flavors, a shaker and a thermometer which is a nice way to try the flavors. I had to just constantly pump myself up, read lots of success stories and weigh myself daily...seeing that number go down almost daily kept me going. Just know that this part is temporary! Get rid of the…

Well, this was 4 days postop so that might have helped:) and they let me pay for just my soup, I didn't have to pay for the whole buffet.

I went out with my husband over the weekend to a Chinese buffet of all places and it went well. It was nice to get out and do something, I got some seafood soup while he did the buffet and I just enjoyed my soup. I normally would have totally bypassed it and it actually tasted really good, and was such a different taste…

I had glue...I'm not sure if that's better or worse! The incisions look ok, not infected or anything, but they almost look the same as the day after surgery still. And the glue is hard and itchy. I think I'm just impatient:) I started adding peanut butter powder to my shakes the past couple a days, it adds about 45 extra…

I was able to resist because I was worried about not losing enough weight before surgery. And I had some weird pride thing going on and was super pumped to do well and not cheat. Now I'm 1 week post-op and getting increasingly irritable over this all liquid thing! I think I have 2 more weeks till my program let's me have…

The first few nights I woke up like clock work when my meds were due. Now I'm just needing pain medicine at bedtime. I might even skip it tonight. The liquid tylenol did not sit well with me at all. Which is weird because the tylenol/narcotic liquid they gave me I was fine with. Maybe it's because it's a smaller dose? I…

I was pretty close! Weighed in at 282 pre-op at the hospital, 5'8", size 22-24, 2x/3x. Just had my rny on 6/16.

Unjury makes a chicken soup flavored protein that I think tastes pretty good. At least when its warm. I took a sip after it had gotten cold and yuck! But warm its nice.

I haven't been hungry, like at all. My husband and son stopped and bought a pizza on our way home from the hospital and I was just like, eh, I'm happy with my water. So bizarre. I figured out a way to prop up a million pillows in my bed so I'm essentially sitting upright when I sleep. It's not that bad and makes getting up…

Thank you all for the well wishes. I'm holding you to that week thing lol! I wish we had a recliner for me to sleep in, that would definitely be easier than my bed.

So an update after being home for about 12 hours. Despite the loudness and general "yuck I'm in the hospital feeling " the hospital had some advantages lol! Namely rails on the bed and a taller toilet. Much easier to maneuver. If I could go back in time I would have been doing lots and lots of leg exercises, squats, etc…

Also my preop diet wanted us to eat a small banana once a day for potassium... I would freeze the banana and blend the frozen banana with the powder and water. So good! I will miss that on the post op clear liquids.

Well apparently I was allowed to get out of bed and walk over night, but my night nurse didn't really mention that. I've been walking around quite a bit this afternoon and it helps with the discomfort. Definitely have some gas building up in there since I've started "eating". My urine output still isn't wonderful but it's…

I like the bariatric advantage flavors if I blend them with ice. I can tolerate them without the ice but with the ice it's almost a milkshake consistency.

So far so good, 16 hours in:) I may die of thirst and this floor is super loud with the alarms and the employees talking a lot, so I haven't slept well. Pain is manageable so far and I haven't been hit with bad gas pain yet. Yet lol. My biggest issue is that I haven't been able to pee a lot but they finally told the dr who…

Thank you all for the input! I was thinking 2 blocks 4 days out would be ok but a coworker who had lap-band 4 years ago had me doubting myself. Fortunately that will be his last day of school and the rest of the time should be easier:) it's just those first few days at home that's tricky with our schedules.

I have my surgery on 6/16 :) it's an exciting week coming up! Good luck!
