I live on banked calories..i save at least 200 calories a say because I eat and drink heavily on my weekends...not saying it's super healthy but it's the only way I avoid undone progress when the weekend comes.

Instead of 4 posts of "R U Weighing Accurately??" Can we sticky this?? Lol love the mentality here =)

0 working out. I hate it, truly. BUT I walk 15-25,000 steps a day at work, and I also keep my deficit fairly large.
-
Yeah,I have no idea what quorn even is..
-
Not accurate at all hahaha..and of course I only know my accuracy because after guessing, I dutifully weigh things =) Nope, I often pre-log but I'm terrible at math so I just let MFP determine how much I'm eating =P

This helps me a lot "it took you x time to put on the weight, it might just take that long to take off!" Really tho, don't sweat it..i used to feel like my weight loss was a race and if I could just hurry to achieve my goal, I could go back to living.. That mentality was very wrong for me..this being food concious thing IS…

I worked 3rd shift at a hotel, 11pm-7am. That started me on an "intermittent fasting" schedule. Basically I only eat from 4pm-9pm ish, and worked 11p-7a, then slept 8a-3p. The great thing is it allows me to eat really big, satisfying meals during the 5 hours that I do eat =)

I've "gained" 9lbs in one day before..but I'm assuming it was like a few pounds of food and close to a gallon of water. Just keep at it =)
-
Unfortunately most ppl fluctuate constantly..I've weighed myself in the morning and then the night and was 9lbs heavier... It's frustrating because it makes tracking progress on the short term basically impossible... Oh well, that's life =)

Curiosity? Desperation for help? Search for justification? This forum should help people, not insult them, or presume insincerity.

Yes, the universal, some might say magical number of 1200.

Lol!! Back from the dead

I dunno...I kinda there had been sone dudes in the commercial...sometimes I feel like literally everything weight loss is geared to women....as if somehow, the wish to be healthier is a feminine trait?

For some reason, of the two times I've seen it on this forum (2nd time was a post to my question of what woo is) both times were in a sarcastic, patronizing context...which conflicts with my traditional Internet understanding of the expressing being being mostly sincere. Hence, the question.

Honestly, dem feels for me is never anything but positive.

I feel like feelings should still be taken into consideration equally to facts..feelings are usually a large reason that anyone ever gains a lot of weight.

Holy jeez!

70+lbs down, and all I do is track calories. I don't include or exclude any foods, I don't drink any water (cuz coffee > water) ..Basically I don't do anything you suggested, but only do the thing you said had a downfall.. Am I doing it all wrong? Were those 73lbs dumb luck??

Everytime I see your name, I think of Digimon =]

I fail at mobile MFP...but it's a funny picture of a cute dog saying "Fitness? More like fitness whole pizza in my mouth" And I thought it was worth a share =)

Welp...100lbs ago I knew I had to lose weight, and I tried..and I failed 2 days in...then 50lbs ago I tried again and failed maybe 2 weeks in.. My point is that, imo, someone needs to be mentally prepared to fully commit to the caloric deficit lifestyle. It takes lots of little sacrifices every day, all day, in hopes for…

Awesome !!

oh god...prepare for some flame. I'd suggest giving it a few more weeks, without weighing often..then at the end weight again and if you haven't lost weight and are weighing/logging perfectly, speak to a doc about it =)
-
No...I like my weekly drunkeness =)
-
I weigh too often and slightly obsess about it...right now I'm on a 1 month no weighing challenge =P
-
If you cut 100 calories from your total every day of the week, that could help you "cover" those weekend drinks? For me, I save at least 200 cals per day tho, because having a day or two each week where I stop caring and simply log it, really helps me keep my sanity. I'm not saying this is the healthiest option, but after…

Why former?? Can't wait for Legion!!

It's not woo to simply take half of the rice you cooked and throw it away...jeez

Gotcha, thanks all!

I eat skinless chicken breast and thighs..a lot of it. I also recently had my blood work done and am under the maximum normal ranges for all the bad cholesterol and triglycerides so my best guess is that genetics and other factors play much more of a part than what parts of the chicken you're actually eating.
