I do it just because high fat/protein keeps me fuller on an equal amount of calories. Still I love I love carbs so much, sometimes I have to treat myself =)

Triglycerides were at 102, looks like I still have work to do. I've been considering taking omega 3s in addition to my men's daily multivitamin. Maybe after my next 70lbs, I'll be spot on, we'll see!

It's all just one big, long, experiment. Try something for a while, if it works, keep at it, if it doesn't, reassess.
-
Well I'd suggest eating more lean meats and veggies. If you don't like those things then you could increase your exercise? In general tho, I'd say try to decide if eating lots of veggies is worse than those 20lbs, because weight loss is mostly done in the kitchen =(

200 total. 137 ldl 48 hdl She said I need to increase my hdl by eating more healthy fats like avocado and nuts =(
-
The biggest impact on a high HDL is exercise? Mines a little low, probably because I don't exercise =( All the more reason I need to start I guess.

That's sick! Yeah I'm down to 85 now, so I'm stoked on that too...gf asked what my new goals were and really, now that the health indicators are "normal", any thing else is a bonus =)

My phone, automatically changed in my sleep, and I was completely oblivious to the time change, hahah. Didn't find out it happened till just now reading this.
-
Lol nice numbers! There's some diet goals imo, haha
-
Wow! Lol, maybe I lucked out with genetics..I didn't have blood tested for that prior to losing 70+ lbs..so I missed out on some cool science =(
-
Nice! GL Lol! If it were possible, I'd probably be growing a full beard by now but alas, genetics are a b*tch =P
-
Interesting...well I take everything with a grain of salt, but I generally appreciate the conversation regardless.
-
Wow..I'm learning so much these days.
-
Pfft maybe for you...but between 0 calories for my daily coffee and 60 calories for my daily coffee could mean whether or not I eat an Oreo! That's a big deal!
-
I bake chicken breast with salt and pepper in a sheet of tin foil..20 minutes at 400 degree..pretty damn easy =) Most of the rest of my staple food is then microwaved or from a jar/bottle
-
Well, I've been having like 60oz a day lately, so that could go from 0cals to 60cals, so I'd like to get it accurate as possible =P Hmmm, this is helpful, thank you.

Hey there! I was in a very similar situation to yours! I'm 28, was pre diabetic, had high blood pressure and weighed 337lbs..but through keeping my calorie goals, without even exercising, I've been able to get down to 265, normal blood sugar, and normal blood pressure.. My advice is to try a certain calorie goal and keep…

I've seen my weight fluctuate more than 8lbs in a single day..I think you're doin OK =)
-
I like the idea of nutrisystem...but I wonder how much a person learns about meal prep/planning on it..like I think it'll work till you stop using it, then you're left unable to maintain because you didn't learn the skills you might need...just my opinion, maybe people do very well after stopping.
-
I can't relate..I get a lot of comments and questions from people I know about my weight loss and I love telling my story and sorting out any questions they may have..Maybe cuz I'm a dude and because I'm just a ham..
-
Luckily there is no time limit to losing weight (aside from dying) so you probably have nothing to worry about. So you spend 1 more week at your current weight? Don't sweat it :P

Since mid April almost 6 months

Feel more proud than different haha. But really, I notice little changes like being able to get out of chairs and such easier, walking being less annoying..and everyone asks me how I do it, I say I make sacrifices and I love MFP calculating my food.
-
I love ranch! Combine that with the alcohol I'd been quafting, and you had a mellow Dan over the spill..no biggie =P
-
Thank you! The biggest difference was getting my blood pressure/sugar back into normal...but I'll take smaller shirts as well =)
