  • Agree with everyone else. Basically by not getting on the scale and going back to what you were doing its like getting a hole in your car tire and then saying "omg forget it all what's the point" and slashing the other 3 tires of your car breaking the wind shield and smashing in the doors with a baseball bat. Not smart.…
  • If I'm not hungry i save them for the weekends. That's usually when I want to eat more but don't usually workout so it has worked out for me. Also it's a nice padding in case I'm not 100% accurate on logging.
  • I take my chances with cookie dough. And this conversation is totally giving me a trigger to my addiction!!!
  • Ok as a former believer in almost all of these myths (yes it's embarrassing) I just have to say I am sooooooo thankful people were honest on here even if it hurt sometimes. Because when I started on mfp I was on a low carb diet that was so hard to live on I literally had no life. I did it a few years ago and lost all my…
  • Yes that makes sense thank you!!
  • Ok I had this problem maybe it's the same for you. I didn't go back into mfp and reset my goals. When you loose more weight you should be allotted less calories. I figured mfp would automatically do this but it doesn't. So I lost my first 40 lbs eating at 1350 cals when I reconfigured it gave me like 1200 and it's not…
  • So I have heard this but never really though about it before. But now that I'm thinking about recomp this wouldn't make sense that muscle weighs more that fat. What's real anymore?!??! Crazy myths I've heard: Drink a glass of hot lemon water in the morning to speed up metabolism. Fruit after 2 pm isn't good Spicy food…
  • Yes exactly no bikinis no low rise. Apron lol!!! Ok thank you at least I can be realistic about it now.
  • I usually don't like smoothies but I found this one I love: banana, pineapple, almond milk, cashews and or almonds I add a touch of stevia. Yum. Comes to about 250. I used to put Greek yogurt in but it's just more calories so I stopped but if you need extra protein.
  • I don't but I don't chew gum often once a day at the max. But also I don't eat back work out calories because I usually save them for weekends and small things like this. This way if I'm not super accurate on the logging (example: plus or minus 100 cals not a whole pizza) then I have some space to work in.
  • Glad you posted. I have been wondering about this too. I know I haven't been getting enough fiber but also didn't think about less in less out. I use smooth move tea when I think it's really bad but be careful it will come on fast
  • I know how you feel I had my first daughter with another guy early in life and I got horrible stretch marks... Like I'm not just saying that their like nothing I've seen before. When I met my now husband I was super insecure about it but I decided that if it was really a problem for him then we need to part now because…
  • I love walking! It's what I started with at first but now I can do higher intensity workouts. But I still walk, it's more for my mental and spiritual health. That's awesome you enjoy it! I too have a Fitbit and it does help me to be more active. Also I love putting on my headphones and listening to something that uplifts…
  • Personal preference I save my workout calories for weekends because that's when we usually go out of town or eat out more. Works for me because I feel like I can enjoy myself and not feel deprived while everyone is eating more than I am. During the week it's seems easier to keep my calories in check because I have a…
  • I do international delight creamers they have sugar and fat free kind only 15 or 20 cal a serving I fit it in to my day everyday because I love my cup of coffee in the morning.
  • Glad to hear it's not just me! Thought I was weird ha. Do you have symptoms of ADD? I have wondered if I do never been diagnosed.
  • Don't know if this is what you had in mind but I go for cottage cheese, Dannon Greek yogurt 80 cals ;) applesauce. Canned whole tomatoes (I actually can them. But they fill me super fast). Also kettle corn is good for my sweet tooth and not a lot of calories.
  • Also keep in mind we are fed super unrealistic expectations through media. The most beautiful women who have all the $$ in the world for every surgery, makeup, body care whatever's are flaunted in our faces all day long and they STILL PHOTOSHOP THEM!! it's crazy!
  • Wow who says that? How do you not let it get to you... Realize you can't get your worth from people. You have great value in the world it has nothing to do with any human being. They are just human and broken. Also who really wants a political opinion about how the world should be run from someone who speaks to another…
  • Ok with all the craziness and back and forth I just want to share with you my experience. Not because I want to beat you up but just because I have found so much freedom in my journey now. Ok so 3 years ago I did a low carb diet (17 day diet). No breads pasta mostly fruit veggie and lean meats. And a bunch of other rules…
  • Great thank you for all of you help. My second question how do you tell the difference between loose skin and fat. I know I can do a bf check which I need to do but can you see just by the looking at it? This is probably a dumb question haha
  • I love mine I do believe it makes me move more when it's charging I'm like why am I even moving it's not going to count ha ha. It really shows me how much little things matter. I thought people who parked far away from the grocery store were a little crazy but now I totally see how it all adds up and now I'm a crazy too ;)…
  • @mdrichardsons Thank you for those comments - I need to look forward to the freedom and revel in that rather than in food, when I get there! I haven't lost enough yet to really feel much different (although I do feel less out of breath going upstairs than I used to), but I'll have to remember these words whenever I…
  • Awesome thread!! Yes I too have experienced this feeling of grief. I think I'm grieving the life I used to live the "good parts"anyway. The never having to think about the consequences, keeping a roll of cookie dough in my freezer to snack on throughout the day until I'm completely stuffed from it, sodas, tall glass of…
  • That's awesome! Great job. Now that I have the weight off I realize how hard it was to move and do things before!
  • Following. I'm not at my goal just yet but thinking about what maintaining will be like. I'm 5'3 and eat 1200-1350 calories on weekdays more around 2000 or less on weekends. My weight loss has really slowed down the passed 6 weeks. My plan was when I got closer to my goal I would up my calories but now I'm thinking that's…
  • Yes glad you posted this I have experienced the same thing. People keep telling me I look like I'm losing more but I have been fluctuating from 142-140. I have 7 lbs to goal so I'm inching for it! Can weight move around so you're more proportionate? I admit I have lacked in weighing food and not counting an extra cracker…
  • I put most of this in the other post but since you asked ;) ... I'm 29 SAHM Utah Sw 183 Cw 167 Gw 133 I was super thin growing up. I was around 110 115 in high school. Had my first baby at 18 and never got my pre prego body back.
