  • I have felt very discouraged while being on the forums lately (many beginners who think of themselves as "experts" and actively ignore/attack veterans who are trying to help) but the fact that this thread is still going gives me hope! Thank you!

  • This past week was awful, alcohol and food wise. I think Thursday was the only night I abstained. But between a funeral, a birthday party, and friends visiting it was bound to happen.

  • I got my scale from amazon for $8 and it works great. The point of weighing your food is to ensure you are logging accurately. Before my scale, I was guessing cooked chicken portions and overestimating by at least an ounce every day. That adds up.

  • I don't think it's "wrong" perse. But those extra couple hundred calories will add up if you never log your wine calories. Just log them next time :)

  • Omg. Just wait. Also, 1000 calories a day diet, or a 1000 calorie a day deficit? Both sound wrong. You should be eating 1200 calories a day MINIMUM. And I highly doubt you could burn enough calories to have a 1000 calorie deficit.
  • I buy a pack, half them and either grill with garlic seasoning or bake marinated in small amounts of fat free Italian. Both are good options and you can portion out in your desired weight. Or only cook half a pack at a time and freeze the rest for the future

  • Hello all, I would highly suggest setting less aggressive goals. While eating at 1200 cals may be the "fastest" way to lose weight, it is also the easiest to get burnt out.
  • Good job everyone! I abstained sun-wed but had 2 shocktops tonight. This week has been strange for many reasons so I ended up Eating close to maintenance for the majority of the week.
