Does anyone else remember the one post where he weighed himself, defecated, weighed himself again and found his scale said he had gained weight? I briefly considered buying a more accurate scale, but quickly decided a trending app was good enough.

He said 27 lbs since October.

I used Kuru brand shoes. Expensive and it still took time to heal, but worth it when the pain is gone.

I've always said Psycho and assumed everyone else did too. Insightful thread.

This is so close to turning into a cake culture thread. Just add pictures, please.

I was put on a statin a few years ago by a new endocrinologist for slightly elevated cholesterol levels. The leg pain was horrific; it felt like my muscles were dying. After I did my own research and found there were no proven advantages for women to use statins I stopped taking them. That doctor also tried to put me on…

This thread is educational and much appreciated. If any of you don't mind answering, how old are you? Do you think your age affected your healing?

I would definitely miss cycling if I could never do it again, but not enough to go into debt. That said, thank you for the responses; especially the exercise links. I do find it fascinating how well our bodies can heal though. A couple years ago I was diagnosed with advanced degenerative disc disease (when I had insurance…

Where I used to work the cyclists were all men. The women were more likely to take group classes or walk on lunch breaks. I love to ride myself.

When I found led shop lights for sale last fall I decided to experiment for myself. I moved some earthboxes into my basement and set them up under the leds. Planted kale and lettuce because I wanted fresh greens and it's always cool down there. Both flourished and taste just fine. The kale is flowering now, right on…

I'd miss the easy access to clean water that would accompany any major system failure. Very few people espousing 'natural' foods have an understanding of the back-breaking labor involved in producing all their own food.

For the record: not everyone who raises their own chickens and organic gardens is a food snob. Personally, I have no problem in an occasional frozen pizza...because, moderation. Although, it does strike me as a bit odd to read about someone who feels so strongly about it, but can't be bothered to do the work. Poser?

My mistake: I thought you were trying to have a serious discussion and might be willing to share the information that led you to make the deductions you maintain. My information is private because I'm not making any claims that require proof. BTW, I assume you are using 'you' in a general sense and not specifically…

Would you be willing to open your diary to prove your point?

I was going to add this one! I used to have it hanging in my office and now I'm going to put it back up.

Just when I'm looking for this information, someone links it in a thread. Thank you, mfp people!

I have no experience but if you search keto there are many threads and groups to learn from.
-
Thanks for linking that thread; highly entertaining. But one thing that really made me chuckle was someone bothering to woo a post from 2011.

Is 5'9" the average height of men? My brain got stuck on the 154 lbs for men column.

My reaction would have been "what? no legs? drat!"

I think if he is contributing to you thinking you were 'a disgusting piece of crap' even though you said you weren't even overweight at the time, then there is something emotionally unhealthy going on. Disclaimer: I do not advocate people thinking they are disgusting or crap when overweight.

I was hoping this would turn into a dog picture thread.

I think you're right. The last post of his sounds more like a stereotypical Australian man which means the former posts were deliberately misleading.

Is it possible that NotEmphatic's first language isn't English? That might explain the disconnect between what is posted in this thread and what he is understanding others to say.
-
I miss this thread. Aren't there any more regional holiday foods to discuss?

I had a goal to hit 1000 miles on the stationary bike this year which should have been easily done even with most of my rides during the summer being outside. The last three months of stress/depression really cut into my exercise time so I need to do 198 miles this month. I can do it!

Here it would be called a disc. :) (US farmer's daughter)

We have them in South Dakota though I've never seen them on a menu.

Did so many employees start keeping a bicycle in the company fitness center that they had to buy more bike racks?

"Pepper Culture" has taken over my workplace! Co-workers are bringing in their harvests of hot peppers; yesterday it was ghost, habanero and jalapeno. Peer pressure and offense sure to follow.
