Just hit my fifteenth avo meal, so challenge is over! Here's the last salad I made, a modified 'wedge' since I only had a small bit of organic iceberg & the rest was green butter lettuce.

Thanks! I find goals have to be very specific and break down into an easy checklist of small steps to actually work for me and my ADHD riddled brain! ;-)

I would stay away from carnation. But I hear you: I work seven mornings a week & a protein smoothie is nice for variety on a rushed morning. I use Vega One chocolate flavor with a frozen banana, Greek yogurt, a handful of mixed baby greens, ice cubes & a little extra unsweetened cocoa powder to cut the stevia flavor. Nom…

That sounds good! There's a lot more to do than just eat! Things that brought me joy this year: Volunteering at a big food pantry giveaway... Taking long walks both Thanksgiving & Christmas days for a break from the in laws... My cat. Just playing with her & cuddling with her when I needed a break from all the busy social…

I have several specific goals. Been getting them squared away the last few weeks... 1) get my emergency teaching credential cleared so I can sub in more classrooms & programs and make a little more money, some of which can be spent on some personal trainer hours. CBest is done & just needs to be scored; paperwork with…

Yes that really is a great graphic!

Congrats Barbie... I bet you are rarin' to go!

I just added mine up: 4054 calories. Which is very near what Thanksgiving totaled too, come to think of it. It must be sort of my limit. (I mean, I was full both days but not full to the point of discomfort like an engorged tick.) Okay: two days in the car driving back and forth between Oregon; a few days at my cabin in…

I'm good. I'm on maintenance. Last time I did this, @ Thanksgiving, I was on a road trip & I posted 1/10 of a pound gain week over week. Lots of sitting, even though we hiked each morning. This time I've lost half a pound week over week. I know the math so it doesn't stress me out. I made a decadent Christmas breakfast of…

11457 steps yesterday, 4.9 miles. Walked to see Christmas lights. Yes, merry merry to all. I'm enjoying a Diet Coke & heading out to the iron horse trail for a little in-laws respite... hahaha

Hip/waist ratio is pretty much genetically determined... You can build strong rounded glutes in back but the pelvis width is bone based. Said the woman with boyishly slim hips at all weights. Even rail thin my waist was never smaller than about 24' and when I got that small my hips were about 33', most of it in back, dance…

Find what you like. Cast a WIIIIDE net... I like walking for some of the reasons you pointed out. I actually only sweat deeply a couple of times a week when I dance or hike. The rest of the time I'm in regular clothes walking. No shampoo, shower or costume changes necessary when I'm finished! And for resistance I do some…

That's the problem with eating 800 calories. Try eating a healthy amount of calories based on your height and weight with a modest deficit for more gradual weight loss.

I feel your pain. ~sad face~

Hey I just signed up for this in 2016: http://jacklondonpark.com/klondike-challenge.html I made a thread for it too... Any other Jack London fans in our group? Yesterday's steps were too pathetic to report. Aiming higher today but my Christmas Eve looks awfully busy... Merry merry everyone!

I've gradually lost about 22 lbs over 19 weeks, but I feel really successful because it has been fun and almost completely angst free. I finally get it! I've learned so much here. I eat everything I want in moderation, but I plan how I'm going to get some protein at every meal now. I eat three meals most days; two if I'm…

Double post... drat!

Lunch @ Barndiva in Healdsburg... There was avocado in this luscious roasted chicken salad, along with blue cheese, bacon, sprouts, radishes and romaine...

Look in here when you miss your mum @jb_2011... I had the cutest teenage single mum you could imagine & it was a terrible shock when she died the summer we each had turned 40 and 59 respectively... I had a new baby myself, and it did send me into a real emotional tailspin. So be kind to yourself & don't expect perfection.…

You go!

Yes, motivation is fine & dandy for some but I prefer routines with small rewards.

Loose lips sink ships. Even weight loss ships. Talk about novels instead. No one should really even notice what you are or aren't eating. If you get called out on something you are in the act of eating, exclaim 'Craving this salad!,' roll your eyes & shovel a big forkful in your mouth, precluding conversation. Pick up…

Dedication!!!

Congratulations Deb! I got in 13087 steps yesterday, 5.6 miles. It's just wet here, period!
-
Another boring salad! I have learned that's how I eat probably 75% of the avos who roll through my doorway. Need to branch out in 2016!

You are seriously beautiful! A wise old soul in a new young body. Congratulations!! xoxoxo

I came late to Ravenclaw last term but no one sent me an owl for the new term. Really worried! Please advise!!

Never stress over a single day over... And never let that be an excuse to skulk away & quit! Log it and move on. Sounds like a perfectly splendid day in the big book o' grandma memories...

Well you are my role model, girl crush & hero all in one @rabbitjb so I might have to step up my soda game... hahaha

I am in LURVE with Coke Zero. But I use it as a treat. 8-12 oz at a serving, 2-3 servings a week.
