Thanks for the responses. I will continue my research. @macchiatto I am with you that the CAD support needs more research definitely. We will see what I find!

I took it in steps. Traded regular for diet. (Give it one week if you think you hate diet. I was convinced I did now I thing regular soda is unthinkable.) Then traded diet for diet caffeine free. The started supplementing with Crystal light, tea, MIO, etc. Now I only drink 1 diet a day (lunch usually) and sometimes when I…

Hershey is an oddity - melted or with almonds it is amazing. By itself not so much.

You look great and probably feel terrific! You're a testament to the fact that weight loss is about discipline and follow through, not gimmicks. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is what I do. I have a candy dish on my desk with coffee Nips in it. I can suck on one for about 10 secs before I want to spit it out, but lost of people who visit me love them.

Homemade yellow cake with thick chocolate butter cream. Absolute favorite. Savory it is fried chicken. I could eat fried chicken and cake every meal...

Yes! I sent my BF to the store one for chocolate sauce for something I was taking to a work party and Walden farms is what he came home with. To this day every food day we talk about how revolting it was.

You can have really sensitive skin with PCOS (especially if you are diabetic as well). I stay away from anything with fragrance and usually use lotions (and face soaps for that matter) intended for babies. I use Eucerin for all over moisture, still looking for a good face cream (I have rosacea so that complicates matters)

It's not new, it's old. "Carbohydrate" is relatively new-fangled :D

I use straight balsamic vinegar from a specialty store here who specializes in just oil and vinegar. The vinegars have tons of flavor (they are infused with fruit and other flavors) and have 14 - 20 cals per tablespoon. I was there today and bought cranberry orange, black cherry and fig.

I second old navy, especially for the price (you might need to look online though, the pluses are thin on the ground in the store.) I like Lane Bryant's clothes but to me they are a little overpriced and , also just IMO, they think that all women are either pear or hourglass shape. I too need more in the waist than…

I'm on both fast and slow insulin plus metformin. A month ago I was seeing readings of 500+ (!) On my sugars, but I've been able to skip some of the fast insulin because the way I am eating is really positively affecting my blood sugar. Food really is medicine. I have a long way to go but I'm really encouraged by the…

You are adorable!

I make a blended meal - usually the main and side is for all of us, but I make an extra sumpthin' for the boys. Usually carb heavy which I simply don't eat. There are occasions where I want something I know they won't eat (tonight it was roasted brussel sprouts) so I made fish tacos for the SO (which I do not like, but he…

I second starting slow and not trying to change everything at the get-go. Just pick something and chuck it or change it ! :) Your profile says to love to walk your dogs, maybe make that a scheduled routine to start (if you haven't already. They'll certainly keep you to it!) and pick out a processed food you eat a lot (a…

First, stop reading articles about it on the internet. It will just make you anxious and god only knows if it really applies to you. The heart is a very forgiving organ. Maybe you have something going on, maybe you don't, but if you do catching it now and following the treatment prescribed for it means a much better chance…

I second to talking to a dietitian, they can give you tons of advice. To start though, assuming you are type 2, just be mindful of carbs (try to not have more than 30 per meal and 15 per snack) and general portion control. Don't try to be perfect and experiment with what works for you. While "traditional carb" foods -…

It might not. As time passes and I get older I notice that my body is just behaving differently. A pound now in my 40s is way different than a pound was in my 20s.

Utterly amazing! Inspirational!

Life is too short! You are worthy of love regardless of the number on the scale. For me - I am sick and getting sicker. It's become "lose weight or die."
