• Wow! You really are totally inspirational! You look really beautiful!
• Hi Matt! Good luck with all your goals :)
• As I live in the tropics I wouldn't do much more than 5k without hydration. That depends where I am running though. There are drink fountains all over the place in cairns.
• I try to survive with an audiobook. I listen to music outside but my tempo changes with the music and the treadmill does not respond to mind-messages :P
I can't remember the name of it but o used to have a great app which changes the tempo of your music to the correct cadence. It was excellent!
• That's a great time! I ran 5k (3.1miles) in 40mins. A bit woeful but I hope to get that down to 35 next week
• This will be my last run of week 1. I have done 2 miles a day. My knees feel good so I will up the miles a little and increase the length of time I am running next week.
• great job! What do you teach? Both my parents were school teachers 4th grade.
I teach high school, English and History.
• Hey Matt, good luck with your training. It was when I was able to run 3mile (5k for me) that I decided to do my half marathon. It is a great base to build from. I also had to lose about the same amount of weight. It is amazing how much easier it gets when the weight comes off. Now I have to do all of that all over again!…
• Yep I've found the same thing. I am only in my second week but my body feels like I am detoxing. Headaches and fatigue. I had one (slightly larger than allowed) beer yesterday afternoon and reacted. I am not sure what my body is reacting to losing though as I thought I was eating pretty healthily to start with. Sorry…
• Tomorrow will be my fourth. I have done about 2-2.5 miles each day ( I think I am trying to adjust from Ks to miles  I am not worried about time either. I will do 6 this week though. I am a teacher so I am on holiday and have time
• I train with a running group - they have a half marathon program and we all train together. My trainer is very good. We didn't run the full half marathon distance before the event. Once a week we did a long slow run to build up our distance, from memory the furthest was about 16-18k ( the half is 21.1k). I didn't notice…
• I did a run/walk 2.5miles in half an hour (4k). 10-11km/h is great Rosa! Next week Ill try to get up to 10kph. This week my run sections were at 9kph. I have always been slow though. One of my goals is to increase my speed this time around. My last half was in 2hr 48 minutes. I want to do my next one in 2.5hrs. Well done…
• I checked out the Bergen half online - looks beautiful but hilly!
• I have to be really careful as I am returning to running from injury (My knees don't track properly which caused me issues over my last half marathon). Today I started out one minute running 3 minute walking. I will do this for a week and then up it to 1/2. Still I am pain free so that's good!
• I make sushi for lunch just make sure everything you use to make it complies :)
• I have started this 2 days ago. It is a challenge as I am trying to lose weight and the only meat I eat is fish. It is quite difficult just working out which foods are okay for FODMAPS and then also healthy. I am in the elimination stage of the diet so I am hoping there will be quite a few categories Ill be able to…
