I was very cardio fit doing the first month of Insanity every other month. Then holidays happened and I just stopped working out and started eating for 2 months :/ Now I have a goal to be part of an ultra marathon relay team in 2017 so I need tostada running again. It's a whole different kind of fitness isn't it!! Haha.…

I log absolutely Everything. It's really quite addictive. There was lots of free fruit at work today so I pigged out ;)

I found that chewing gum really helped me. I discovered that I was always chewing, either a pen or my nails and food. I found if I used gum (sugar free) then I could swap out the chewing on sweets for chewing gum. I'm not sure when it happened but I don't chew gum anymore so its not like you are swapping one habit for…

I used the JnJ 7 minute workout (free APP) to start with. I worked up to doing that 3 times (you can set your own customised workout or use one of theirs of different difficulties). Then I added wrist weights and started again. Then I added wrist and ankle weights and started again. And when I could do that without too…

I have a scale phobia too. I am quite tall so even when I am slim I weigh more than most women. I have not weighed myself in years and do not feel the need to. I think to myself, "Why put yourself through that honey?? I should not have to make myself feel bad mentally in an attempt to make myself better physically". YOU…

@k4tie82 I totally agree with your thought that " I don't think we can fully relax and eat whatever we want... If I did that I would be back where I was before.'. Some people eat what they like and don't care / don't think of the consequences. Some people are lucky enough to eat what they like and have no consequences (no…

Since starting this healthier eating through food logging thing (i have never done it in my life and only started 1st Jan) I have gone right off coffee. So now I am tea all the way......although i guess it helps being English :)

Good lord that looks like my idea of hell. All it takes is for one guy in the middle to fall over! Not for me, but kudos to you!! Hi all, I am Lu, scientist and runner. Well at least, trying to get back into running being a toe striker. Ooops gotta go, didn't see the time and I have a training run walk. Chat later

The Second Month is just incredible. That is when the real hard work starts and the body sculpting begins in earnest. IMHO I could not do justice to any other work out if I was giving 100% to the Insanity workouts. Everyone is different I guess, so you could try it and find out whether it works for you. good luck

That is the point I think I have missed AJ_G. I was thinking it was a goal to aim for like my calories. Thanks for pointing this out and consequently how much of a goal achiever / box ticker I am hahaha. I must be getting enough salt because i am not cramping out, but I will stop pondering this now. Cheers Guys :)

i love cottage cheese but i bought some from Sainsbury's (UK superstore) and it is a disgusting, gloopy, creamy, goo. Thank god you didn't buy that one. BLEURGH

any tips on maintenance? I yoyo quite badly (although that is all relative) so I would like to know how to relax but not gain weight. I can't keep doing Insanity every 2 months!!

If you are just patient and put the effort in, Insanity will sculpt your body into a work of art. I promise you. Stick with it. You'll never regret the effort you put in now. ;)
-
@ARGriffy you get used to it ;) @MB_Val instead of an extra work out, up your calories a little and push harder in the Insanity Workout. I used to just try to do one more of everything from the last repeat. @ insanity Tanya- I hate your perfect face ;)

but how do YOU know?? Are you watching me? Am I paranoid? :)

have I been bad??

I am new....should I be worried????

In my experiences with Insanity (completed 7 weeks before injury, completed the first month 5 times with no issues), I had no energy to do ANYTHING else whilst training it fully. If I tried to do anything else (squash or run) I could not complete the Insanity workout that evening. During each workout are you completely out…

hmmm Will you be strict?

So what did you do to your foot?

I am a great believer in exercise as much as you can. For example, if you are walking, up the pace by a minute/mile. Every day just give a little bit more until you are giving all you have. It might help to just try a 7 minute work out routine (Johnson & Johnson do a fantastic free one that you can choose low impact…

It's a long journey but just focus on the steps in front of you today. Before you know it you will be quarter ;)

You could take one of his baseball caps (that he has fitted to his head size) to a hat shop and they should be able to get his size from that.

Be careful with that diet. I did it (8 years ago) for longer than I should have and my digestive system has never been the same. I will say, It works for short term weight loss but I put it all back on. Add me if you want to chat about it :)

Insanity HITT workouts were the best cardio ever for me. Never made it through the second month but 6 times through the first month did the trick hahaha 40's shmorties!!

My brain is 25, my body is 44 but my back feels as if it is 75!! But I will keep plodding on with my goals in my heart. What is your exercise of choice??? We can do is this!! 2016 has no idea what we can achieve together :)

Well I am not planning on running the whole 50 /100 miles hahaha. I am going to be part of a relay team in the 100 mile entry, so it should be 25 miles with rest in between short distances. Also, It's in 2017 so I have some time. I am hoping for that to be the motivation too :) I am working on a run walk strategy and…

Try changing to a run walk routine, my stitches are always a breathing issue even if I am not actually out of breath. How are you working through it now?
