In general, you should try to drink between half an ounce and an ounce of water for each pound you weigh, every day.” E.g., if you weigh 150 pounds, that would be 75 to 150 ounces (128ounces = 1gallon) of water a day. If you’re living in a hot climate and exercising a lot, you’d be on the higher end of that range; if…

Never ever speak to any females at the gym... because they feel that men only want to speak for only one reason. But most important, when I am at the gym it's my time, my space and me.... Zen.

Well... if you are looking at these devices to eventually track your weight-loss targets, then you will be surprised that most of these don't give the REAL picture. Studies have shown these gadgets are not always 100% accurate to give the exact information on your exercise activities.

Extra weight put additional wear and tear on your joints and ligaments in general... which in long run can cause injuries to them. Also, factor in age too.... a 20 yrs old over-weight can 'bounce' back quickly from those injuries, a 54 yrs old body might take a long long time.

Not sure, if you need to lose weight for yourself, then why put such unrealistic goal to lose 2 stones before May 11th? Remember, weight loss & healthy living is lifestyle.. not just a goal. Saying that, losing two stones (28 pounds) in around 65 days is very possible task, but you will have to hit the gym for at-least few…

Losing weight is different than being on a "plateau" which you say are on. Also, 'plateaus" for each person is different, it may last for a few days for some & few weeks for some. Remember... you drop weight only if you have calorie "deficiency", than what your body needs for daily (breathing, digestion, brain activities,)…

On your above two quotes... All I can say is to hang in there... think weight reduction as a life-style rather than a chore. Here's what I do to keep myself motivated..... 1.) Keep a daily log of what I eat & exercise in MFP.... daily, no excuses. 2.) Take each day as an 'opportunity' to start anew... so, even if I ate too…
