We don't really do Christmas and as we work for ourselves there's no office parties or treat piles to negotiate. I might make a nice meal on the day but unless I buy the stuff it's not in the house, thankfully. A couple of our neighbours do bring treats but those come at a manageable volume :)

Make your own!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth so I feel a bit cheated by consuming 150-200 cals on a protein bar. I have a boiled egg or two after a workout, or a couple of cheese and prosciutto roll up snack things. Or some cheese and half an apple.

Dude you're hitting up the wrong places!

I was jonesing for a Twix one day and made a righteous decision to grab a bag of trail mix instead, and then ate the whole 800 cal bag. Just get the Twix.

There's tons of variation between the kinds even within brands. I love the Boca flame grilled but the other styles are meh.

I got strawberry stevia drops from MyProtein and it makes plain yoghurt really fruity.

Circus Circus, in spite of being a weird, budget hotel has a pretty amazing steakhouse.

I almost bought a tub of BCAA because I was chronically tired in the back, from workouts, and it's touted as good for recovery. As I'm a bit resistant to adding extra junk to my day I decided to try proper, extended stretching instead and I saved myself from the supplement. YMMV but give it a try.

My sweet neighbour brought us cookies and cinnamon bread last night. Scale's up 2lbs today. I feel you!

I've used intervals like that as part of my workouts as they mimic a sport I play and want to improve at.

I'll probably take off 24th, 25th and 31st.

I really recommend picking up some weight training asap. My last 10lbs or so took a lot of my strength with it - I remember trying to move this big piece of wood in the yard and I could barely pull it let alone lift and move it, and it freaked me out. I never had a problem with that kind of thing before. Cardio is great…

Lunch for me is a white bread sandwich most days. I lost 40lbs and have been maintaining since March.

It always smells vaguely off when it's on my hair, even though it doesn't in the pot. It smells like something that is overdue for a wash.

I have some little bento compartmented type lunch boxes that were my favourite thing when I used to take food for the office. Little section of cut fruit, one of cheese, a small sandwich, some rice or grain salad, cut veg, all kinds of fun stuff.

There used to be a woman at my gym who was pretty vocal with her workouts and self-encouraged as well. Her workouts were pretty sick, it made me laugh but not in a mean way. One time she was some sled pulls and making legit sex noises and an older lady walking on a treadmill kept turning around and being all horrified and…

Yes, this. I've been doing a light day at high reps and low weight and I'm like... I wonder if people think I'm just tooling around? How would they know I'm coming off a *kitten* cold or an injury is on its way out and I'm testing the waters... and then that carries over to how I see what other people are up to. You can't…
