  • Your story reminds me almost exactly of my own experience. I know how extremely disheartening problems with food are and how much it impacts one's quality of life. Although you have not been diagnosed, your symptoms such as constant thoughts about food, periods of restriction followed by complete loss of control and…
  • If you stick to that calorie goal (1200-1400) you shouldn't have a problem losing 1 stone :)
  • I would describe my eating disorder that I recovered from as mainly BED but I also went through periods of starving myself for 2-4 weeks and then binging majorly for another period of time. I am recovered now but still find it helpful to eat scheduled small meals throughout the day usually 4 breakfast, lunch, afternoon…
  • I am a recovered binge eater so I understand your struggles with food. These are my main binge (overeating) prevention tips: - avoid binge inducing foods (sugar, carbs or whatever they are for you) Personally, sugar and carbs are my downfall. I found (and still do find it) easiest to just not have trigger foods in the…
  • Great points. Eating at a calorie deficit is the most important part and having exercise goals you can stick to. You don't look like you have a ton of weight to lose from your picture so slow and steady is definitely the key if you want to keep it off, no more than 1lb/week. Feel free to add me if you'd like more thoughts…
  • A really close friend of mine recovered from a severe binge eating disorder by going to overeaters anonymous. She said she couldn't quite get into every single aspect of it but that overall it was super super helpful and she would recommend it to anyone serious about recovery from food addictions.
  • I'm also a Sean T fan, currently doing another round of Insanity so if you need workout motivation feel free to add me :) I also weight lift 5 days/week. I'm not a mom so my life is obviously pretty simple in comparison but I'd love to offer my support if you need any :)
  • Great job!!! do you have an exercise routine?
  • Feel free to add me :) I workout lots and am supportive of MFP friends
  • I would try to exercise a bit more. Adding 2 HIIT workouts minimum per week would be a really good idea. Bodypump is a good strength workout so adding a couple fat burning HIIT sessions will help you to burn off body fat to show the muscle underneath.
  • Congratulations! you made such amazing and inspiring progress :D I also workout lots 6 days a week usually back to back HIIT and then weights. I'd also love to be friends :)
  • (1) The writer who in the early 1970s popularized the idea that it is essential for vegetarians to rigorously practice protein combining at every meal to get adequate protein (Frances Moore Lappe, in "Diet for a Small Planet") more or less disavowed the idea just 10 years later (in a subsequent edition of the book), but…
  • Make sure you learn about proper protein combining so you are making complete proteins by mixing carbs like rice, oats and potatos with a vegetable protein like beans and lentils in order to have all of the essential amino acids.
  • I've always been vegetarian and am super active. Your best sources of Protein as a veggie are eggs, low fat cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, lentils, chickpeas, beans, tofu and tempeh. If you have some of these each day in addition to your protein shake you will be getting lots of protein! I have also been using hemp pro 50…
  • What Shay said! Damn Nicki I want to earn muscles like yours!
  • Life long veggie here! just added you:)
  • I have also dealt with a sever binge eating disorder. However I grew up eating clean (no processed foods) and vegetarian so I knew what a healthy diet is so I could work my way back to that in order to help my recovery. As someone who has suffered from BED it really is not about will power (I consider myself a self…
  • Sorry didn't weigh in until today! Goal is to loose 1lb per week. Jan. 13 129 lbs Jan. 29 128 lbs Feb 12. 126 lbs First goal 120 Ultimate goal 115
  • Don't skip keep pushing through! This is my second round of Insanity and if you look at results from people who have done it before this is how it usually goes. I probably lost a 1-2lbs in the first month but got stronger and a bit smaller. Then suddenly around the 6-7th week I dropped 7 or so lbs and A LOT of cm. If you…
  • I only had about 15lbs to lose total and only came back to MFP last month but I am super active now, log every day and I workout 6 days a week, 5 days of Insanity and 5 days of weight lifting. I love having motivating active friends and do my best to support :) Feel free to add!
  • Always looking for more active friends, add me :)
  • I didn't know until recently that "clean eating" was a thing.. I thought it was just called eating and that not eating that way was the exception not the norm.. So greatful to my hippy parents for growing me up on veggies from our garden, whole milk from the neighbours and whole grains and legumes :)
  • Can add me too! University student and I log all my food. Doing Insanity 5 days/week and weight lifting 5days/week but dont usually log exercise :)
  • No need for it to cost anything... ;) I went from 135-125lbs in 6 weeks while watching my diet closely and doing some other light exercise as well. You can see my progress photos on my profile :)
  • I would also love more inspiring friends, anyone else looking for the same please add me :)
  • I'm 22 I'll add you :)
  • I'm also vegetarian.. I eat a lot of gold standard whey milk chocolate extreme it tastes great an also put hemp protein on steamed veggies it actually tastes good (to me atleast ahha) like hemp seed oil. Pumpkin seed protein powder is great too to put on veggies. Eggs, egg whites, lentils beans and chickpease. I also just…
  • I am a firm Insanity fan it is fast and super effective. This is my second full round of it (I've done a few weeks of it here and there in between) and I'm about to start my 4th week. Thinking I'll do the Insanity the asylum after.. I think in terms of body weight home workouts those are probably the most effective the…
  • Instrumental Grime! I have a private rave going on while I lift it gets me suuper pumped!
  • You really should take a few days off because this is about lifestyle and long term health and fitness. Just eat a couple hundred fewer calories or go for a long brisk walk for a couple of days and it will not slow your progress.
