  • Meat balls & tahini sauce
  • Agree with skinny cow. Saying restricted diets fail is like saying having a challenging job leads to unemployment. I’ve been on a restricted diet for years. It depends on the person. But it may be good for a beginner to ease into a healthy diet rather than totally restricting their diet. MAYBE. Because I know if I let…
  • There are some keto ice creams! So Delicious makes sugar free, dairy free ice cream and ice cream bars. I've also gone to liquid nitrogen ice cream shops and asked them if they can make custom keto ice cream and they said yes if I brought the ingredients on a slow day.
  • Been on it for long term health reasons. I have been on it without breaking it for 1.5 years. As far as fitness, it doesn't automatically help with weight loss unless you're obese, but it may help satiate you. I see people complaining about being hungry in a deficit. I don't get hungry on a deficit except appropriately…
  • I like when I eat lean meats because I can save my fat for my cooked veggies or salad dressing. Or eat a spoonful of almond butter. Usually I have to eat my salad without dressing because I already get enough fat from my food and the dressing puts me over my calories. But I love tahini dressing when I make room for it.
  • Lemon Juice, ACV, some vitamins, medicinal herbs, water, tea, Zevia, La Croix, spices, salt (but I’m going start because I’m too low) And sometimes I don’t log licking the pan, but I probably should because there’s usually a good amount of tallow from the beef I cooked in it.
  • When I’m at a hotel, I keep lettuce wrap ingredients in the fridge and salad ingredients: Cold Cuts Romain Lettuce Avocado Primal Kitchen Mayo/Mustard PB or AB Spinach Evoo & lemon Sea Salt I recently saw a recipe for making copycat Complete Cookies. You could make those with keto friendly protein and sweetener. And then…
  • It could depend on how adapted you are, but it probably won’t be a problem.
  • Hey, I’ve been strict keto without cheating for 1.5 years and 4 years going on and off of it. For me I’m doing it for long term health but I’ve noticed a bit less skin out breaks. I have gained weight on keto when I overate, so I’ve started tracking and weighing everything. Now I’m losing. Keto helps me feel very satiated…
  • I have been keto for several years but I have been strict keto for 1.5 years. Strict as in not breaking it for a Birthday party or piece of fruit or whatever. You can gain weight on keto. So, you still have to also count calories on keto. But it’s super satiating. I never feel deprived in a deficit on keto. Make sure you…
  • Yes. Last year I tracked without a food scale for a month and I gained weight. This year I have one and I’ve lost weight after two weeks.
  • Since I don’t eat dairy I started eating egg shell for calcium. I ate some at the same time as eating Lily’s chocolate and the shell made it taste like m&m’s in my mouth Red peppers instead of bread for avocado toast

  • Add me! I’ve been low carb for 9 years
  • Chicken Zoodle Pad Thai It was sooo good
  • I started eating a bunch of dairy when I went keto and I had to give it up. It was giving me terrible acid reflux- Throwing up in the middle of the night acid reflux. Then I went though a really weird withdrawal experience similar to my relative’s opioid withdrawal. I later found out dairy has opioid like compounds that…

  • I try to use really nutrient dense foods. For breakfasts I have: Raw liver which is the most nutrient dense food. Clams- which are high in iron. Whole eggs with the shell which have a bunch of calcium and other nutrients. Greens which add a bunch of other nutrients Red peppers for vitamin c This gives me my whole days…
  • How about not keeping any snacks around so you’re not tempted. Journal in the morning about how you are feeling, what you can feel good about, and what your plan of action is for when you feel bad. Keep checking in with yourself so you can notice if you are about to have those feelings.
  • That’s what people keep saying but that’s what the calculators are giving me. 5’1, 111 lbs at 27% body fat is only 81 lbs of lean mass. So I don’t have a lot of body to actually fuel. And my exercises burn only like 75 calories, probably for the same reason.
  • My macro calculator told me 1084 based on my stats and exercise. I haven’t found it difficult unless I do extra exercise in which case I add more calories. So I think it’s a good number for me.
