I love this one, especially the strap adjustment mechanism (though I should also point out that according to online reviews the mechanism is also an annoyance for some, I just happen to appreciate it). To tell the truth I wear this as my day-to-day bra as well I love it so much.

Awww ... your mom missed the sabotage boat, you're already slim and fit ... *sarcastic sniff* I've been reading various of your posts on the forums over the last few months and you've been doing amazingly. Well done.

The following is not meant to confirm or contradict what anybody is saying here but it might be interesting to note given the last few comments on this thread that in China the cut-off for 'healthy/normal' BMI (going toward overweight; I don't know what it is at the other end) is a point lower than in the US. Just to say…

I've hit the elephant's penis milestone at last!

A little more than 6 months ago I got a gym membership for basically the first time in my life, motivated by a couple of pounds of holiday gain and winter cabin fever. I was 135 pounds at the time. The first couple of weeks I only did simple cardio machines like the treadmill, and found that I dropped 5 pounds in that…

I always thought I was the only one! I just can't do it for some reason and could never figure out why

Although the skin around my jawline and neck is not as taut as I would like it to be (or as it was the last time I was this weight), my weight-loss turkey waddle seems finally to have dissipated. You know that one where there is just a flap dragging down directly from the point of your chin?

You guys should do what I did: I was living overseas (when I said to 'do what I did' I meant that tongue in cheek, as if anybody could simply do that at will) and not particularly speaking to my mother when I decided to lose the weight. When she finally saw me 50 pounds down she was forced to acknowledge, "You don't need…

From 2 to 7km in just 2 weeks!? That's incredible progress. Well done!

I can't believe how much I love this post @JulieSHelms That is all.

With a user name like @pinuplove you're forgiven for ordering lots from Modcloth :)

I've been doing some vintage dress shopping on Etsy. Since there's just one of any given vintage piece (as opposed to retail/off-the-rack with multiple size options) the sellers include the bust, waist, and hip measurements of the pieces on offer so that people can judge whether an item will fit before they buy. Each time…

Strictly on the eating front there's nothing wrong with high-carb-low-protein, but if you are going to start to incorporate exercise then I think you'll find it beneficial to add more protein. Protein is specifically important for muscle retention and growth, but aside from the biological benefits you may also experience…

Without knowing your measurements this is a shot in the dark—though even if I knew I couldn't be conclusive—my first thought is low muscle mass? Since muscle is more dense than fat one would look smaller (and have smaller measurements) at the same weight if a greater percentage of the body mass were made up of muscle. You…

Sidebar: Did anybody else here read the Sweet Valley High novels in the 80s and remember that the Wakefield twins were described as being a perfect size 6? Hello vanity sizing: if their size 6 were my current size 6—wherein I can still pinch not just an inch but full handfuls from my torso—I'm not sure they'd have been…

Count me among those who are flummoxed by this as well. At 5'3" and 135 pounds I'm wearing a size 4–6 or a small, and actually in yoga pants an XS (I'm an apple so my legs are on the smaller side, proportionately). For one thing, I happen to recall that in the 90s, when I was in college I was wearing a medium at Urban…

OMG this vivid imagery ... hilarious, traumatising ...

5'3", 135 pounds Bust 34 Waist (narrowest) 29.5 Waist (bellybutton) 35 Hips 38 I've been at my current weight about a year, and in that time my measurements have fluctuated up and down a bit but stayed mainly the same except my waist, which decreased by about an inch, possibly due to the contraction of some loose skin.…

*Accidental double post, sorry.

Super old post, I realise, but WOW that's an incredible transformation, @Nanalove2018 !!!

Ah yours just made me realise I had one this weekend too! I was at an event this past weekend with a bunch of friends and acquaintances in their late twenties (I'm in my mid-forties). It was really hot that day so I went with a short shift dress and ended up with a bunch of compliments from 'the kids' about what great legs…

Sadly, with just a couple more weeks until the event it doesn't look like I'm going to make this goal because the dress is not only still a bit too small but also a fitted cut, and my torso has, er, not been cooperating. However, I have been lifting since February and am now able to see a tiny bit of definition in my upper…

Wow that's fast progress. Excellent commitment!

I so rarely attend events that require I dress up, but I've got one coming up in a little over a month. I have a goal dress I've been dying to wear but my weight and measurements haven't budged in ages (partly on purpose; there was a scheduled 3-month maintenance break). I'd like to wear it there ... finally!
