No he’s more on the slim/skinny guy side

Your rmr increases by 100-500 calories depending on each individual. I would definitely eat more for 2-3 days around my period.

I understand and I don’t want to change him which is why I’ve been thinking about this.
-
Thank you and yes I know I’m not settling for anything that I know I won’t want. I guess I’ll just wait until Sunday and update everyone on how it goes!

He has a security job that involves sitting.
-
I guess I was hoping for him to say I really want to work towards building a fitness routine because I know it’s good for me. And thank you for suggesting some short workouts for me- that was really helpful too. ☝🏼That’s the kind of response I was expecting from him. Instead I was met with an array of excuses which shows…

Yeah okay I’ll see what happens on Sunday then! I’m also aware of the fact that you can’t change someone which is why I’m concerned and he didn’t listen to my concerns.
-
Again…I’m not saying we are getting married. We just spoke about the concept or marriage and it’s something we both want.
-
I didn’t say I’m marrying him. I said we’ve spoken about the concept of marriage because I’m from a traditional background. I don’t want to get to know someone who’s just into hooking up and wasting time.

We’re going to meet in a few days on Sunday

Yes that’s a fair point too! I tend to store fat evenly over my body but more in my arms and legs and butt. Also ever since I started lifting weights my body shape has changed and I always have an hour glass shape even all the way up to 190 lbs. I do however, refuse to believe I’m 39% body fat which is what my body fat…

Thank you!

Your metabolism may have adapted to lower calories. Your body is a homeostasis machine so if you keep under fuelling it then it will have to lower energy expenditure to match up to that. Imagine if there was a famine and your body continued to burn loads of calories at the same rate…you would die so quickly. But it doesn’t…

Take a diet break and eat at maintenance for 2-3 months. You’re metabolism has most likely adapted to those calories through a process called metabolic adaptation. Sometimes you need to stop dieting and just stay at maintenance for a while. We’re not always meant to be dieting.

I suspect osteoporosis because I have a long history of disordered eating. Over exercising and under eating to be precise. I feel cracking in my bones and last year my knee twisted! I haven’t lost any strength though but I’m worried that I will. Oh and I’m an Asian female! Arthritis runs in my family.

For the back and wrist pain I’m hoping the vitamin D and a magnesium spray that I ordered off Amazon will help. I also started a vitamin d spray.
-
Thank you for the replies everyone! The reason I stopped exercising (except for a little walking and stretching) is because every time I worked out I couldn’t recover. My heart would race and I would struggle to breathe and get palpitations. This was due to low magnesium I think. I’m going to try a light full body dumbbell…

Yeah I’ve been sitting in the sun for vitamin D

I’m going through the same thing…just sick and tired of seeing all the female fitness girls on instagram pushing heavy lifting on to everyone. It just seems like a new craze. I honestly don’t enjoy lifting weights anymore but it does benefit my body. Sad times. I’m just aiming for 1 weights session a week and one Pilates…

Me too! When I was in the depths of my eating disorder I was starving myself and over exercising. I was shocked to learn how little I was eating when I finally tracked my calories. Now I’m trying to lose a few pounds by eating 2200-2300 calories on a weekly average. I have to track my calories to make sure I’m eating…

Potatoes and egg omelette with onion, parsley and mature cheddar 😋😋😋👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Yeah definitely! I’m really working on balancing my blood sugars instead of just looking at my total carbs throughout the day. I haven’t felt this much mental clarity in months. Thank you for asking 😊
-
Hey everyone so the reason I wanted to go lower carb and no sugar is because I have PCOS and IR so I thought I was doing a good thing! It definitely worsened my mood so now I’m eating a little more carbs (250g), smaller more frequent meals throughout the day and focusing on balancing blood sugars instead. I think I have…

Should I persevere and hope this feeling will go away or just go back to my old way of eating?
-
Well I just ate half a bar of chocolate so around 70-80g of chocolate and I feel better…still not sure what’s going on but thank you 🙏🏻
-
Oh wow we have the same macro ratios for protein, carbs and fats! I’ve realised my mistake is that I’ve been massively delayed my first meal because I’m just not hungry in the morning. Then the rest of the day I’m playing catch up with my calories, and I just don’t like oil… so I should stop this silly unintentional…
-
My current protein goal is 100g per day. Most days I’m between 90-110g per day.

How much do you weigh and how much are you trying to lose?

I had COVID for three weeks last October/November. I think it may be the reason why even now I can’t seem to get back into my fitness like before. Apparently it can take up to a year for some people to get their fitness back (to pre-Covid levels) and I’m probably one of them. I can walk 8000-10000 steps, do light weights a…
